SANTINIKETAN RETREAT, Bolpur

Very good location and environment. The staff was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The food was great too. the overall ambience of the resort was great

The property is huge and really good.The rooms are clean and spacious.The swimming pool is shaded and so didn't feel the heat in summers.Water is clean.There is a badminton court and a nice garden in the middle of the resort.They play Rabindrasangeet in the evenings in this garden which stores the true essence of Shantiniketan and creats a great ambience.The restaurant is clean and buffet breakfast options are good though the variety could be more.Food is good.Special thanks to Mr Gourango and Mr Veer from restaurant who were quick in their service.

The property is new and lacks proper management and staff.We booked three Sonar Tori rooms.The balconies were unclean when we entered and The washrooms were smelling bad so we had to get them cleaned when we entered. .When we asked for cold drinks in the restaurant they served expired Sprite bottles which we checked after consuming.So plz check the cold drinks bottles before consuming. There were flies in the restaurant as the windows were open during the breakfast time.The restaurant had only one staff continuously working, serving,taking orders for all the tourists.When we ordered tea as room service,instead of giving us a separate teapot for the room ,the staff brought tea in a common teapot which she said she had to carry to other rooms as well..we somehow said we will pay for the extra tea left in the teapot.Hence she kept it in our room.Overall service was very disappointing though the stay was pleasurable as the property was good.More trained staff is highly recommended.

Foods were awesome...games room good...Nice location beside Prantik station.

Hawamahal, such a big room, has only one A.C...no facility of A.C surrounding Sofa cum bed....Only 2 bottles of 500ml water bottles were provided for 4 persons....Bathtub was advised not to use....Table tennis ball was only 1 in number and that was also damaged, not replaced even after informing....NOT WORTHY according to the tariff.

Ambience and Jamindari style room was nice. Amenities were good .

Food. Didn't like at all. The worst food. Curtains in the room affects the privacy very badly. Need immediate rectification.
