Royal William Yard Apartment

Lovely apartment in great location which had everything we needed. Great host who was very helpful and welcoming.

Der Vermieter war etwas kleinlich. Wir wollten bisschen früher einchecken - dafür wollte er gleich eine zusätzliche Geldleistung. Wir haben das Apartment am nächsten Tag bereits um 8 verlassen, dort außer Bed und Bad nichts benutzt und sind deshalb nicht so frohgestimmt abgereist. Das Apartment hat inzwischen auch seine beste Zeit erlebt. Man hat nicht wirklich eine Aussicht, außer man liebt den Blick auf die Straße und andere "Blöcke".

Nothing to dislike

The Royal William Yard is a wonderful historic naval complex that has been repurposed into a vibrant community - condos, restaurants, shops, bars, businesses, etc. The weather was not the best during our stay, so it was ideal to have good choices within minutes of our accommodation. We went to 3 different restaurants during our time there - all were very good. Our apartment rental was most comfortable and the fact that parking space was available (at an extra, but not unreasonable cost in our opinion) just outside our windows was great. We were also happy to have access to a washing machine in the apartment! However, the biggest 'plus' has to be Nicky, the owner who was there to greet us (and to give us directions when we went off track on one of the roundabouts), and who was always available over the telephone afterwards with advice and instructions and to answer our questions. Just outside of our building, there is a small ferry which takes you quickly to the Barbican - very convenient.

While walking into the Plymouth centre is possible, it is not ideal as it does take some time and the route is not particularly interesting. We started out on our first day, but turned back because the weather was very cool and it was threatening to rain. The little ferry proved a much better option. I believe there is also a local bus that stops just outside the RWY gate.

It was perfect, clean and very well designed.

Not knowing Plymouth or Royal William Yard at all, slightly tricky to find the "block" that the appartment was in ...

Bright and airy, perfect location. Felt very safe there.

Beautiful apartment with stunning surroundings, definitely recommended

Nicky was a lovely host, nice little touches like fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. So kind we arrived a little early and could get into the apartment which was absolutely amazing, also so clean. Nicky also gave us an extra half extra to check out. Everything you needed in this beautiful apartment. Love Plymouth ❤️
