Mosteiros Natural Pool House

Great views and amazing sunsets. House was very cute, well stocked kitchen.

The natural pool was only full of water at high tide when the waves filled it. All the water drained out as the tide went out.

emplacement magique juste devant l'océan - pas de voisinage immédiat, on n'entend pas les gens qui sont (éventuellement !) dans les maisons à côté. grande terrasse parfaite pour apprécier le paysage à tout moment. lave linge/vaisselle/sèche linge - transats disponibles - salle de bain agréable avec une grande douche - deux chambres sur la rue (avec des rangements) et une chambre côté mer (sans rangement). canapé super confortable (important car parfois on ne peut profiter de l'extérieur que depuis l'intérieur !) - les piscines naturelles sont à 5 minutes à pieds, ainsi que deux restos/snacks très sympas avec une super vue - parking pas devant la maison, mais pas loin.

un système genre voile ou parasol (mais avec le vent, compliqué sans doute) serait bienvenu car la terrasse étant plein ouest, parfois le soleil est vraiment trop fort pour en profiter depuis l'extérieur - la piscine juste en dessous de la maison n'était pas praticable quand nous y étions, mais les vraies piscines naturelles sont tout près, donc rien de grave - en revanche l'accès à la mer juste en dessous permet de profiter (dans la solitude) de la proximité totale de l'eau. cuisine pas super bien équipée, mais rien de vraiment nécessaire ne manquait) -

Dass der TV von vorher hier lebenden Gästen aus Asien so programmiert war, dass er nicht zu gebrauchen war für uns.. Maria, unsere Kontaktperson war nicht in der Lage, den Missstand zu beheben.

The location of the house was close to the natural pools and had a beautiful (almost 180 deg) view of the ocean facing the sunset.

Apart from the location and view, this booking did not meet our expectations. The house was quite small and not well ventilated. Air conditioning did not reach 2/3 rooms causing them to be hot and muggy. The pillows/ mattress and sheets were not comfortable. The couch had stains on it. A few of the issues we had with this location was: 1) significant ant infestation almost daily which required us to use insect killing agents, this made the whole house smell and with two young children exposed them to toxins. If the garbage was not taken out daily, ants easily crawled into the cracks of the door opening/ baseboards and would be all over the kitchen and kitchen floors. 2) the property had misled us about access to the natural pools. They did not inform us that this was public use and during our entire stay the municipality which owns it - was draining/ cleaning it which didn't allow access to it as it was nearly empty. We specifically chose this place t have access to the pools while our young children were napping, which we could not do. 3) Upon arrival, the outdoor patio/ table/ windows was quite dirty. As this was a place we wanted to spend a lot of time, we spent an hour cleaning it to feel comfortable outside. 4) There was lack of instructions on how/ where to take out the garbage which was necessary to do daily due to bug infestations, 5) Their booklet said towels would be changed twice per week - no one came to change towels at all during our 6 day stay. Overall this place is really over priced and I would not return.

Maria met us and was extremely friendly and helpful. She was also very flexible when we got delayed.

Nous avons adoré l'emplacement exceptionnel, la vue, la piscine naturelle avec eau de mer (partagée avec les 4 maisons voisines). Nous avons très bien dormi, emplacement très calme. Nous étions avec nos enfants 8, 11 et 13 ans, et la maison était parfaite pour eux. Il est possible de faire des courses dans un minimercado, petit mais avec tout le nécessaire. Les plages de piscines naturelles (falaises, roches et sable fin noir) sont aussi à 5 minutes à pied. Il y a quelques restaurants dans la ville MOSTEIROS mais il faut prévoir de réserver avant. Le village est charmant. Nous conseillons le site et la maison +++

Pour faire quelques critiques: il n'y avait pas beaucoup d'ustensiles de cuisine (nous étions 5 et il y avait juste 5 paires de couverts); pas beaucoup de serviettes de toilette mais suffisants. Se garer devant la maison peut être compliqué, mais il y a des places plus haut dans la rue. ( bien noter qu'il y a un seul WC).

Amazing view with ocean pool

For high price of rent we would expected better equipment inside the house.

Adorable house in prime location looking out to the Atlantic. Very spacious outdoor area with gorgeous views. Three small but comfortable rooms perfect for a group of 5 or fewer. There’s a great mini mart 3 min walk away. Easy walk into town to access restaurants. Walking distance to natural pools not to mention the pool attached to the property. (do note it is constructed, not natural but great fun nonetheless at high tide).

Parking is limited and the neighbors ran a concrete mixer from 8 am all day the two days we were there. Very noisy. But not the fault of the property, just be prepared for potential neighborhood noise.

The house is beautiful. The terrace overlooking the ocean is great with wonderful view. The location is prime. It was spotless clean. It is close to where one can go to the 'natural pools' in a few places. The house is in a one way street located on the right side (at least if you drive the way you should) so do not miss it or you have to go around. It has a 'manmade' pool (that fills with sea water) down toward the ocean shared with a neighbor. The washing machine and dishwasher are in a separate room accessed via the terrace. Note that you probably cannot park in front of the house. There are some 'unofficial' spaces but there were always other cars. There is free parking 150m 'before' the house on R. dos Moinhos.

1. It is far too overpriced even at low season. For that, we got a stack of tissues just like that on the table and a bar of soup left on the washbasin without any holder. The shower doors had some 'quirks'. And: No tea pot in the house! 2. No curtains, no shutters and no sunshade for the window toward the terrace. In the afternoon/evening the sun directly comes into your eyes whether you are in the balcony or in the house. 3. Windows cannot be open to the street or we did not manage it. One can blame 'safety' but a damp bedroom is the result. 4. We got one garbage bin with a plastic bag that was too small for it. For a property that claims to be 'green' a curious implementation. 5. The pool was full of algae. I guess it was in low season and they might have just not cleaned it up and with those beautiful pools outside we did not even think of going into that thing. 6. This is managed by a commercial company not a private owner; nothing was done with 'love'.
