We loved the hosts, they were so kind and helpful. We felt like home. Food was amazing, beds so confi, everything super clean. Best hôtel. And all' the area is super safe!!

The host Saman and his family are exceptional hosts that go out of their way to assist you and accommodate your every need. Their home stay is absolutely immaculate and newly renovated. It has incredible views and amazing service.

There’s not much to not like. If anything there wasn’t an aircon and the geyser was a bit small for 2 people to shower one after the other.

The cyclone was less than a month ago so some people had warned us about the impact to the area but the locals have worked very hard to repair the roads and it was very safe for us to visit. Semila and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. We did an early morning hike on Sri Pada and they kindly woke up to send us off and Semilas husband drove us down the steep drive to meet our driver. The hike was so quiet as not many people travelling to the region following the cyclone. Big menu of food, freshly prepared by Semila. Very generous portions and delicious. We enjoyed breakfast on our balcony with an incredible view over the valley. Their family made cupcakes for Christmas and provided us with lovely pots of tea. They also recommended a lovely short walk around the nearby plantation and town. Beds were super comfortable and had mosquito nets to keep the bugs out.

Nejlepší u ubytování v oblasti! Stojí za návštěvy. Nic není problém. Dostanete doporučení na výlety a na cokoliv co potřebujete vidět. Výborné jídlo.

This is a real hidden gem 💎 The views, the staff and the food are all amazing. The rooftop restaurant is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise - we were worried about the roads after the recent cyclone but they have all been cleared. Walking the pekoe trail was wonderful and we are so glad we made it to this part of Sri Lanka.

Wir haben uns bei Saman und seiner Familie wie zu Hause gefühlt. Wir wurden mit sehr feinem und abwechslungsreichem Essen verwöhnt. Empfehlen können wir auch die Cooking Class. Saman ist ein erfahrener Fahrer. Er hat uns trotz der schwierigen Strassenverhältnisse infolge des Zyklon überall sicher hingefahren und uns unterwegs die Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei Saman und seiner Familie. Die Menschen in Sri Lanka sind generell unglaublich freundlich, doch Saman und seine Familie haben das noch einmal übertroffen. Wir können dieses Homestay von Herzen empfehlen! Die Zimmer sind groß, sehr sauber und bieten eine fantastische Aussicht. Auf Wunsch wird das Essen direkt auf den Balkon serviert – frisch zubereitet von der Familie, und wir haben selten so gut in Sri Lanka gegessen. Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen sind möglich, genauso wie Getränke. Saman kümmert sich wirklich rund um die Uhr um seine Gäste. Er hat meinen Freund mitten in der Nacht zum Adam’s Peak gefahren und dort gewartet. Mir hat er wertvolle Tipps zum Pekoe Trail gegeben. Außerdem hat er uns bei einem Besuch einer Teefabrik begleitet und einen Kajakausflug am Castlereigh Reservoir organisiert. Es gibt einen Wäscheservice und Saman bringt Gäste zum Bahnhof, hilft bei der Organisation von Zugtickets und generell bei allem, was ansteht. Aktuell erweitert er das Homestay – Gäste ab Dezember können sich auf einen offenen, überdachten Restaurantbereich mit derselben traumhaften Aussicht freuen. Außerdem entsteht ein neues, großzügiges zweistöckiges Zimmer für Familien oder Gruppen, sehr modern und hochwertig gestaltet. Wir hatten hier eine besondere Zeit, wie man sie nur selten erlebt. Wir wünschen der Familie alles Gute und viel Erfolg mit den neuen Bereichen. Wer Adam’s Peak oder die Umgebung erkunden möchte, sollte unbedingt hier übernachten!
