"2 Notti a Hatton"

8.0

The family running this homestay are lovely. The top balcony where the food is served is excellent looking out over the mountains and rooms are confortable. The family went out of their way for us and the food was greag. You reach the property up a steep drive from a very basic town.

The family is genuinely kind and makes you feel welcome from the very first minute. They’re also incredibly skilled in the kitchen. The food tastes really good and feels home cooked in the best possible way. One of the things that made the biggest difference was how helpful they are with all the practical stuff. They helped us arrange transportation at a fair price and made it easy to get around without stress. They’re also great at asking what you’d like to experience. If you’re not quite sure, they come up with specific suggestions for great hiking routes and things to see in the area that fit both your pace and your level. The rooms are really nice, clean, and well maintained, and the view is beautiful. The house itself is lovely and has a cozy dining room where you can sit with a panoramic view over the valley. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night at Princess of Dickoya and felt warmly welcomed from the very first moment. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring, creating a genuine homely atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared, easily one of the highlights of our stay. A wonderful place that truly reflects Sri Lankan hospitality – highly recommended!

"Auszeit mit liebevollen Einheimischen in den Teeplantagen"

7.0

Everything about our trip at the Princess of Dickoya homestay was wonderful. The property is nestled in the hills of Hatton with great views and beautiful music from the birds. We were able to escape the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities like Kandy and relax with a great hospitality from the Princess of Dickoya.COmfortable beds and great food.

"Book this homestay 100%"

10.0

Our stay at Princess of Dickoya was truly special and memorable. From the very first moment, the hostess welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She served us what was honestly the best tea we had during our entire trip, while we sat on our terrace enjoying a beautiful view over the mountains. The room was lovely and smelled fresh and clean. I really appreciated the thoughtful pillow selection - one higher and one lower, which made sleeping very comfortable. The bed linen also smelled wonderful, and the room had everything we needed. We were even able to borrow a wall adapter, which was very helpful. Nearby there is a lovely tea plantation where I highly recommend taking a walk. We also strongly recommend having dinner at the property, as the food was simply so delicious, truly homemade and full of flavor. Unfortunately, we stayed only one short night, but we could have easily stayed longer. Our main goal was to climb Adam’s Peak that night, and the host was incredibly kind and generous, he drove us by bus about one hour to the base of the mountain and also picked us up after the hike. The hostess even packed sandwich and bananas for us to take along, so we could eat something while waiting for sunrise at the top. When we returned to the accommodation in the morning after Adam’s Peak, we enjoyed what was, in my opinion, one of the best breakfast experiences of our entire trip. There was great coffee, pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, juice, tea, and also roti. Everything was beautifully prepared, and you could truly feel that the food was made with so much love and care. We also highly recommend visiting Adam’s Peak - the sunrise is one of the most beautiful in the world, and the temple ceremony is a very special experience. Princess of Dickoya is a place full of warmth, care, and genuine hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here and hope to return one day.
