Modern 2 bed 2 Bath House in Sittingbourne by Splendid Stays

The house was decorated to a high standard throughout.

When we arrived at 5pm the first thing we did was go upstairs to check the beds. To our dismay we discovered both beds had extremely bad mattresses on them, the worst I have ever seen. They were unfit for purpose, incredibly soft and when I felt them with my hand you could feel every spring. I immediately contacted the owner to request a refund/cancel the booking and he refused. I drew his attention to another review left by a couple who were unable to sleep due to how uncomfortable the mattresses were, and after many messages he finally agreed, but insisted we pay a cleaning fee and accused us of sleeping in the beds. We only stayed in the house long enough to phone booking.com and message him. We then left and booked into the Holiday Inn which was lovely and in a much nicer neighbourhood.

We like large eating bowls, found the bed a little smaller than we are used to and the TV was a little high for us.

Great location, bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. Ope was helpful, friendly, and a great communicator. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Excellent location, quite central and within a quick drive of sittingbourne town centre, local supermarkets and shops, the leisure centre and a short drive to Faversham. The house layout is lovely. Everything you could need in a kitchen was available which was very helpful. The house was clean and well presented with great built in wardrobes in the bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which was great. Generally, the wifi connection was good and stable. It cut out occasionally but only for a short time.

Totally out of the host's control, but the parking is a big struggle. It was hard to find parking on the road during the evenings so if you go out and come back after 5pm, prepare to park on a different road and walk back to the house. The house was quite cold during the daytime. It would be great if check in and check out times could be added to the listing, when we booked it just said 00:00 to 23:59 which isn't accurate. We found the bed a little uncomfortable so it was difficult to sleep well.

Beautiful property and decorated to a high standard. Beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was the highlight! Couldn't recommend this property enough and will definitely return again in the future.

Parking was slightly difficult, busy road and not many spaces. May have to park a short distance away and walk. It did not bother us too much.
