Downtown Beachfront Isla Verde Tropical Apartment

The location. The beach was perfect and clean. No sea grass and stinky salt like further down the beach. It was right on the beach, meaning no crossing streets or walking blocks. There was restaurants and stores very close. Key FOB for private entry, no cut thru traffic. Uber from airport was $7, to Old San Juan $11. It was a perfect get away.

Nothing. It was perfect for my wife and I.

Not clean, Fruit flies/nats all over the place. No running water for like 12 hours, couldn’t shower or even flush the toilet. Bed’s, furniture all old and very uncomfortable to sit or let alone sleep on.

The beach access was very convenient.

The building was old. The halls were dark, most lights didn’t work in the hallway. First of all, the unit that we were in had plumbing issues. In the unit, the sliding glass door was broken, there was exposed electrical wires, and open vents, the second room was a lot smaller than we anticipated.

The apartment appeared to be dated to original construction date. Plumbing fixtures were defective, air conditioning loud, Balcony sliding doors off the tracks unable to open. Hallway fire alarm hanging from the wires not fixed to the wall. Furniture needs to be modernized.

Location is excellent

Pool was fantastic and surprisingly not many people there considering the number of units. Beach fantastic as well. Very centralized location yet our unit was quiet, no issues with sleep. 7th floor was great. The management of our individual unit was responsive despite some hiccups. I appreciated the responsiveness. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Having a dryer was a plus for wet towels. Our underground parking spot was superb.

We didn’t get to check in until 5ish day of which we made work. We requested and very promptly got an additional set of keys and fob. It would’ve been nice to have more fobs as getting to the pool and beach requires it. We had to coordinate a bit at times with our family with teens. A few things were just odd—needs silverware (less than 4 forks there) and some shampoo (plenty of conditioner and body wash). The air went in the middle of the night the night before our last night. They were extremely responsive but it wasn’t able to be fixed for our last night. We had rain and it actually wasn’t bad at all with the windows open and fans. The manager did his best to help.
