The farm, the waterfall to swim. The fans.

We had a wonderful stay at Waterfall Farm. The cottage has one of the most beautiful views, surrounded by orchids and nature, making it a perfect place to relax. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the cottage was truly special, especially with the little plunge pool and KolKol right there. The beds were very comfortable and the indoor fireplace made the space feel cozy and inviting. It’s also just a short 10–15 minute walk to a spectacular waterfall. Our kids had the best time as well. There were two ponies around, peacocks visiting us, and a few friendly dogs and a little cat that came to say hello. There is also a beautiful treehouse with a slide and lots of swings, which the kids absolutely loved.

Waterfall Farm is the real deal. If you’re looking for a romantic break that actually feels private and rugged, this is it. The Highlights: * The Rock Pool: Easily the best part. It’s a total oasis and feels completely unique to this farm. * The Vibe: Incredible stargazing and even some ancient rock art on-site. It feels deep in nature but is surprisingly easy to reach in a regular car, no 4x4 needed. * The Service: The staff and hosts are legends. They have a genuine “just ask” attitude that makes you feel totally looked after without it being formal. * Options: There’s a good variety of accommodation depending on what you’re looking for. For the International Travelers If you’re visiting South Africa, skip the tourist traps for a couple of nights and come here. It’s only a few hours from Cape Town but gives you a taste of the "real" Western Cape stunning mountains, ancient history, and proper South African hospitality. It’s the perfect spot to decompress and see the Milky Way like you’ve never seen it before. You have also probably realised this already, but the Western Cape in 2026 is safer than most of Europe or America. Besides the occasional Baboon.

Hele mooie omgeving, helemaal weg in de natuur en omgeven door citrus en fruitbomen. Op loopafstand van de waterval en 2 kleine strandjes aan de rivier. Daisy cottage was erg ruim en mooi, van alle gemakken voorzien. Buiten een klein koelbad en een jacuzzi. Wifi in huisje aanwezig. Verder eerst even boodschappen halen bij de spar in citrusdal, zodat je van alles voorzien bent bij aankomst.

De badkamer was erg primitief, douchen in een oud klein bad. Paarden en hond komen ook drinken en zwemmen in het dompelbad, waardoor het water snel vies/troebel wordt.

Loved the atmosphere, nature, wildlife, farm animals and the views!

I loved it!!! Highly recommend it. If I could I would improve: living-room couch and an espresso coffee machine.

The area is nice, lovely scenery, beautiful walks, waterfalls are lovely. Very quiet and peaceful.

The ants … they’re everywhere and they bite sore! No hot water and the shower was basic. Toilet not good either as it’s outside.
