Beautiful Apartment in Character Former Rectory

It was spacious and comfortable with lovely furnishings. It had almost everything we needed. The weather didn’t allow us to sit in the garden but it looked a perfect spot for breakfast

Very little connective either via wi fi or personal data. I had an unexpected personal matter to deal with at home which I couldn’t complete

Fantastic location, 10 mins walk to train station, and less than 5mins to town centre and bus station. The apartment is spotless, very comfortable. The owner is very thoughtful, kids had a great time with the games provided. There is even a bottle of organic milk waiting on arrival, perfect for that cup of tea. The little things like frying oil, salt and pepper shows just make it extra warming and special.

The apartment set on two floors, the stairs maybe a little steep for those less mobile, didn't bother me though

A very cosy, clean and quiet apartment with well equipped kitchen. There is garage for the car and a charming little garden at the front. An excellent base to stay when visiting the lakes and Carlisle. Penrith is worth exploring as well. Definitely recommended.

The wi-fi was practically non-existent during our stay which was a drawback for us because of the expensive mobile data in roaming. Makes it hard to plan the trips. Also face towels and shampoo would have been nice.

Location is excellent, keys collected from keysafe which is easy and straightforward and I liked the fact that I get free parking in the garage and that I could leave my car in garage till 1pm on day of checking out which is a big plus. Tea, coffees and milk are provided which my friends (who I stayed with) appreciated very much. We didn’t use the washer and dryer, but a very useful feature as you can return home with clean and dry clothes! The information booklet had been very helpful also!

The apartment’s decoration in living room and bedroom perhaps needs an update, but still perfectly comfortable stay.
