Rakuten STAY TERRACE Hakone Kowakudani

Absolutely beautiful place clean and lots of space already part way around the Hakone loop going clockwise against the crowds. Great facilities and 7-11 about a 10 minute walk. It's on a very steep hill and no staff so probably not the place to stay if you need assistance. Perfect for us with kids under 10 when we just needed somewhere to relax that wasn't formal so we could enjoy the sightseeing each side. Vending machine for snacks and drinks and some welcome drinks in the room. Hot tub and foot spa were very welcome for tired feet! Coffee machine was great.

Breakfast was interesting.. bacon and cheese sandwich and corn soup got us started but don't rely on it. Pillows were terrible!

Fantastic property, huge room, with plenty of space, spa, sauna and foot bath, exceeded expectations.

設備が細かいところまで行き届いていて、全てが綺麗で清潔だった。ベットも良く枕が柔らかくて寝心地が良かった。 お風呂が最高。サウナもよかった。 もっと滞在したいと思った。 足湯もあり最高だった。

自動販売機が簡単に使えなかった。 QRコードでの読み込み操作が途中でできなくなってとても不便だった。 館内の入室もオンラインチェックインで何度やってもできず、他の海外の家族も入口で立ち往生してた。

Excellent space and facilities, with some nice additions like a projector, telescope. Also very helpful guest information and online support, which made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable

Slightly annoying walk on the hilly road from the train or bus stop, especially with kids and luggage, but it’s only 5 minutes.

A beautiful apartment/room for us to stay in, and the private bath was wonderful. It really felt like a luxurious stay, and it was a nice treat in our itinerary.

The location is close to the train station, but there is no footpath along the road, and the hotel is around a corner and behind the station. There is a trail behind the station that can lead right up to the hotel, but it wouldn't be easy with luggage; it's more appropriate for your next day when you're looking to go out and explore. There are not very many restaurants or convenience stores within walking distance.
