Misty Peaks Cottage

Very good location. Great small veranda with a loverly view. Quiet location.

Very little room for suitcases. Very little space around the bed. Shower room sink so small it was difficult to clean your teeth over it. Generally too small accommodation overall

The cottage was well appointed though a little compact. Newly fitted out with good finishers.

I did not receive the apparent email sent to me whilst travelling regarding the key code. Phoned host who gave us the code. Host eventually arrived at cottage to check other guests in who also had the same problem, she then promptly left telling us she had her fathers birthday party so did not have an opportunity to ask any questions. The cottage fridge did not work this we discovered late in the evening when water from the ice we had to buy started melting and ran onto the floor. Hob extractor fan could not be used as it made a loud terrible noise, which resulted in the fire alarm going off whilst cooking, even with all doors and windows open. Bathroom had no light so we had to use the heating lamps as lights which made it extremely uncomfortable being summer. One of the two dining room chairs was broken and unusable. All of these problems I am sure would not be present if the host took some time to check the place out which is such a pity as the cottage has potential and they have obviously spent some money on the upgrade. All the host was concerned with were my card details which I could see on my booking which she said she did not have. Host was not concerned about any of our problems or if we enjoyed our stay or if there were any problems. When I mentioned to her the fridge did not work her answer was why did I not phone her. I said we only found out late and after the arrival reception we got and her concern only being her party I decided I would rather include it in my review
