We had a lovely stay at this peaceful and charming house. The location is a bit remote, but we expected that and really enjoyed the quiet surroundings. Having the dogs around was a delight—their dog Rosie is such a sweetheart and made the stay even more special. The owner was very welcoming and kindly shared fresh eggs, which were delicious.

The only thing we missed was a proper outdoor space to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. Overall, it was a cozy and relaxing stay that we would happily recommend.

"Exhausted"

5.0

Liked the cottage and the lovely people close to lots of great places to visit beaches watermouth castle etc and friendly dogs lots of handy things useful in the kitchen and a dishwasher too great shower

Being woken up every morning from between 3am and 5am by a Cockerell and things running on the roof at night scratching sounds on the roof not good at all. Also the bed was uncomfortable the thick brambles on the approach scratched my car to bits didn't notice until I got back they need regular maintenance also the patio area needs a revamp as a family of four wasn't enough chairs my car also had a nasty dent on the bonnet with a deep scratch I noticed it when I got back

"Very Disappointing"

3.0

Nice bathroom with large bath Loved the kettle Milk provided

The lounge/kitchen smelt awful (a dog smell to me) and lots of flies Beside cabinets etc were dusty Bed uncomfortable. Saggy sofa Didn’t like the lack of windows so couldn’t see out. The skylights were dirty. No blind to main bedroom so very light Stale coffee in a rusty tin unpleasant Dirty mat on worktop to make drinks on Noisy building work in next field Pile of sand/gravel side of steps No contact from owners

"convenient location to other places. Nice views. Good to be on a farm. Peaceful."

7.0

No breakfast but the homemade scones, clotted cream and jam were appreciated 😋. Location was convenient and it was nice to be on a farm. Nice views.

some things could of been replaced as they were showing their age (like me)! Some tlc needed in places. The stairs leading up to the granary are quite steep. The bottom step especially and this one had no handrail. If you are older like me or have issues with stairs be careful. I actually fell backwards on the bottom step as I grabbed for the hand rail, which broke off causing me to fall and bang my head hard. When we left we told the owners what happened and the wife noticed the actual handrail was not very stable either. I'm pretty sure this has been rectified . Hopefully the taller bottom step also has a handrail. Having said that my son who is in his late 20s had no problem with the stairs !
