The Granary Cottage

Everything. The photos don't do it justice! You're surrounded by lovely scenery and beautiful wildlife as well as some great ginger cats and free roaming chickens and some horses. It's a beautiful home. Additional pluses were the scones left for us and a bath! (I only have a shower at home, so I spent half a day being a mermaid).

Nothing. I guess the only downside was not actually getting to meet the owners, but we didn't need them for anything and they were still contactable and had someone pop by to check we were happy, which was nice. I definitely wouldn't see it as a negative as it was nice having our own space.

The location was peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. The hosts were lovely, friendly, welcoming and everything was taken care of they couldn't do enough

The location.. so peaceful, so natural and just absolutely incredible! Steve & Nicki! Amazing hosts, always there if you need anything and so so friendly! The animals.. The cottage was super comfy, warm and well equipped! We had such a lovely stay! We will be back definitely! Thankyou so much!

We liked the personal welcome, fairly unusual these days. The scones were top notch, and a delicious treat. The Granary is comfortable and in a very peaceful location.

The Granary is very cosy. It is quiet and immersed in the countryside. It is quite large and ideal for a couple or a family. We appreciated that there was no extra charge for bringing our dog. The kitchen is well-equipped and the owners live just in front of the house and are very helpful with all your needs. There were fresh scoops and jam waiting for us when we arrived!

All in all, our experience was positive and we felt at home during the 10 days we spent there! However, we have to say that we found the location quite remote. As far as the house is concerned, the only comment we have is that the kitchenware, especially the pots and pans, could do with some updating. The other thing to note is that it is not possible to darken the master bedroom.

We liked absolutely everything. My kids loved the dogs and cats, and we all loved how quiet and peaceful it was. The cottage was clean and spacious. The views were exceptional. It's such a beautiful place. We did not want to leave.

Had to travel quite far to shops etc. Fly problem, but no one’s fault. Just one of those things I guess.

breakfasts was not included croissants and home made jam milk tea coffee and milk were in the cottage on arrival quite location a bit off the beaten track very helpful hosts lots of footpath walks for the dogs nearby we will stay again
