PIJU LUX APARTMENTS

Good location, nice building, spacious room.

The service and amenities are poor. The staff are dismissive or very late to respond to requests/issues. We had a power outage in the middle of the night and whilst it wasn’t their fault, it took them 10 hours to respond to my messages and advise there was an outage in the area. They provided us with 2 toilet rolls for 4 people and a 5 night stay - when I asked for more, I was told to go to the local supermarket. Things look nice at first glance and then you realise that the apartment is unclean and the amenities are BASIC.

The location was great for transportation, cafes, restaurants. The apartment was spacious and lovely.

The wifi and signal want great.

The location is very convenient, close to the bus stop and ferry station. The terrace is amazing, but it would have been wonderful for it to have some more outdoor furniture. The kitchen has everything that you need and more (the coffee machine). Also, the staff is great, they brought us clean towels on our request.

The doors to the bedroom and bathroom couldn't be closed (but they started fixing the bathroom one). The wifi wasn't working, to be precise there wasn't any in the reach, which is a big minus. TV was useless, because there wasn't wifi. The bed is okayish, not the most comfortable one, but the pillows are awful.

Great decor, location.

WIFI DOES NOT WORK at all. Staff responded horribly and did NOTHING to try to fix it. In the end they said "wifi is available in only some rooms". Saying there is wifi on Booking.com is hence a lie! No sound proofing, can hear all conversations in room next door. Pillow and bed was really uncomfortable.

The Property is in an excellent location, The ferry over to Valletta is a short 5 minute walk away. A great place to stay if you want easy access to the capital and if you want trips out to the rest of Malta. The apartment is very modern and eye catching (makes us want to repaint our house!) We would 100% recommend this stay.

We didn’t sleep great because of the noise surrounding the property (general car noise, apartment above, talking) the building is old and the large rooms are extremely echoey - you can hear literally everything so we had to buy ear plugs. It could do with a few soft furnishings to help with the noise. The bed could also do with a mattress topper/protector. (But we would still stay here again because everything else was fab!)

STAY AWAY FROM THAT PROPERTY!!! I don’t know where to start, but I will sum it up in points, so you get the main information and will be detailed afterwards, if you’re interested. - Doors open at arrival (unsafe) - Dirty and dusty - Construction within the house (extremely noisy) - Bathtub not working - Hot water not working - Almost no utensils - Not family friendly / dangerous - Electronics not working - Staff not reachable and if reachable, then careless - Poorly equipped That was the shorts. Everything is proven with photos and videos. Me and my wife were planning a little weekend escape. Most of the times we’re traveling and we’re staying in many different accommodations. I usually do not rate or give a quick 5 stars, but this is unbelievable. When we arrived, the doors were open, so my wife was scared immediately, since she didn’t know who’s in there. We checked and gladly it was empty. We immediately smelled the bad air and the moldy breeze, that was all over the apartment. Even after leaving the windows open it didn’t go away. Everything was dusty and dirty, stains everywhere, hair of other people and even shoe prints in the bathroom. We were tired and wanted to rest but we couldn’t. I tried to contact the apartment, but even that didn’t work. I texted a lot until they finally answered, with not even addressing the issues that I stated or apologizing. We had nowhere else to go so we stayed there. After waking up I wanted to shower, but I had to do it with cold water. Then the hairdryer didn’t work and I checked my phone that hasn’t been charged, since the electricity is not working properly. There are even sockets open, which could be lethal to children. Next noon I had a meeting and my wife wanted to sleep and rest, but she couldn’t because in front of the door inside the house they started a construction and started building things. She woke up and we needed to leave, because I could not attend my meeting with that amount of noise.

Brilliant location Very nice apartment. Balconies. Fresh air. Plenty of room. Laundry facilities.

Appliances could be updated though this is not a huge issue. A toaster would be good. Maybe some teabags etc on arrival.
