Compared to how it can be otherwise in Thessaloniki, I appreciated the additional heaters which complemented the air conditioner in February, including the bath towel dryer. Again, compared to how it can be, this one was a real flat meant for living, not a merely poorly equipped touristic accommodation. That’s a plus. The location is walkable to the “civilisation”, there was a recently open metro, the last station of which was exactly near the building, however it didn’t work in one of the days (let’s explain it by the novelty of the metro).

The building gives bit of a horror movie vibe. My advice is, in case the lift does not work, to check whether the doors are closed on each floor. Well, Thessaloniki has its specifics, you should be prepared. Speaking of that, the surroundings of the flat - you have the view of the closely standing opposite buildings in a very weary condition. The flat is generally not very sunlit, the windows are not meant to let a lot of sun or provide nice views. I would not expect five-star utilities, but in the kettle there was a weird liquid, presumably a leftover of a washing substance, and despite I indicated two persons, there was only one mug. The cable tv did not work, and the host was not very rushing to respond to this question. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to sound snobbish, I don’t have a big experience with Thessaloniki to be calibrated what is right and wrong. Within my stay I tried another comparable accommodation besides this one, and it was worse in many aspects. I can judge only out of my general travel experience. SKD Dream Residence wasn’t a great deal for price vs. quality, but again, I can be mistaken what is right and wrong and normal in Thessaloniki and what to expect in a non-touristic season in February. I can only say that in the same price category I used to have way better outcomes.

Very clean, easy to get in/out the apartment, near to the metro station, free parking.

Small bed for 2 children.

If only sofa could open to a bed

A very large 1 room apartment. Very clean and confortable. You can find a free parking place nearby. The location is excellent for transit or to stay a few days to visit the town.
