Northstay - The Urban Cityscape, Central & Modern, Sleeps 5

Not sure if I’m reviewing the property we booked or the property we were given - supplier cancelled with a days notice and Gave us an alternative. The new apartment was clean and well equipped- only bad thing was it was on the 8th floor and one of the group was terrified of heights.

Supplier cancelled with 24 hours notice and we were already travelling.

We stayed in a different property, but it was really good. We were super comfy, it was super well equipped. We felt in home.

The shower lost a lot of water and the bathroom floor was always wet. Besides that, everything was excellent!

Location at the center, clean & comfy

We were informed to change the place just few hours before we departure, it didnt leave any time for us to re-consider if we will take this place or not, we consider this as a very typical "Dishonest" attitude. At the end it turned out the place is quite far from the city where we originally ordered. Since it's Winter, public transportation in Tromso is not easy, you always need to ask for TAXI wihch took additional at least, at least 10-15mins waiting time plus 7-8 mins driving time, it cost us 1.5hours more wasted on the road. The cost is also not cheap, each time it costs us 15-18usd, everyday it can easily go up to 60-100usd additional cost for nothing. the Internet in the place quite shaky, though I realized the wifi meshing, but the speed is often below 1Mbps or sometimes nothing, I never had such worse experience in my whole life even in a developing country.

Renovated apartment with large living area

There is no bin in the bathroom. No oven gloves nor kitchen paper. Tiny bedrooms with no wardrobes.

It is very clean. It has Netflix which is very important.

There are no heaters in the bedrooms so the rooms are extremely cold. When asked, we were told that the heat from the living room will slowly spread into the rooms which didn't happen. What bothered me the most was the terms and conditions. We were asked to even clean the dishwasher. I am surprised that they didn't ask us to wash the toilet and towels. We are here for a holiday and not to be maids!!! Another thing that bothered me was the focus on money. Our flight was 3pm so we asked for an extension till 1pm. But we were refused if we don't pay for the extension. In conclusion, I am put off by Airbnb standard in Tromso. I felt that as guests,our needs were not taken care of.

A wonderfull place for staying in Tromso!

The only thing we missed have been blackout curtains in the bedrooms.
