Amazing staff, food was excellent, lodging was impeccable.

Everything was perfect

The food and property were stunning. The accommodation was really nice and the staff were excellent. The dinners were better than the Michelin Star places we’ve eaten at in Europe. The walks were beautiful.

Beautiful lodge, with decent owner, staff and food. Very good value for money if you are on the way to Sossusvlei and need a stop. We saw the stars and galaxy at night!

Tseaucheb River Camp Review Where to begin. Tourist trap of note. Yes it is expensive which is expected of the area, which I do understand. But then the service, when I arrived at reception, I was ignored for the first 10mins, while the receptionist was chatting away to the clients while I patiently waited. Eventually got the chalet key and got directed. The food was okay, and was expected for the location. No complaints there. But the service, seeing as we paid more R1600 Per person per night, I was expecting some level of Service. Wrong ! The staff will take an order, bring your drinks and then just dissapear. After this happend for the third time, I started taking my own used cups and glasses back, and ordered from the reception which was shocking, and still then you need to ask everytime, no offers from the server. For the dinner service we got served the almost exact same main meal and starter two nights in a row, no options, what you see is what get apparently here. Im not picky but come on seriously, do they have that limited stock or chef with zero creativity ? Come on you can freeze meat, its the 21st century, get cooking. I repeat again R1600 Per person per night. The breakfast was good, a traditional eggs and bacon continental style. When the bill came in at the end, R70 for a Americano, a black coffee, absolutely crazy. In Namibia I mean even that is crazy. And for those wanting to go visit Sossusvlei, keep in mind it is an almost 1h30min journey. Which is not the places fault, just something to keep in mind. Lastly, the chalets make use of a donkie, for those that now ,it uses wood to operate a small fire that makes the water hot for a shower. The first night there was a small fire, but when we wanted to shower later the evening it was out. No pile of wood to use. Shocking ! Which we then resulted to scavenging for scrap wood in the river bed. This happened both nights and the first morning.
