This was such an excellent find! If we ever come back I wouldnt hesitate to book again. Beautifully laid out and stylish, in a quiet corner of the village. The large windows in the lounge/lobby let in lots of natural light and views of outside greenery makes the space feel very relaxed, perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Hakone loop. Open mezzanine ceiling, comfy lounges, hospitable guest dining space and adequate continental breakfast made the stay extra enjoyable. Comfortable double room with air conditioning. I loved the wooden details, contemporary mix with traditional, the warm lighting, indoor plants and trees, the furniture and amenities available. Bathrooms clean and stylish. Bag lockers were super helpful when we arrived several hours before check in time. We loved booking the private onsen right before bed for a deep sleep. Staff were helpful and polite. Easy 5-10 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station.

Loved it! This hotel has so much charm. It's a traditional building but with a very updated interior that mixes both, tradition and comfort. The "capsule" was spacious enough to feel like a little room, with window and A/C and the wet rooms were tidy and clean. The public space on the second floor offers the possibility to store food in a fridge, free hot and cold water, tea, a microwave and a place to sit and relax. Staff was also very friendly and helpful and I have nothing bad to say at all. I wholeheartedly recommend.
