Great country style setting and amazing food! Nicely located near all major attractions in Garden Route such as Robberg Nature Reserve. Feels very private.

Superb overall experience. Great location (stunning mountain views), freshly decorated property, very well managed by a dedicated couple (top chef, top sommelier), great staff. Just perfect.

The formal nature of the breakfasts and dinner ... the food was delicious, but when the lodge is more busy I would recommend a buffet cold breakfast and a few items to choose from for the hot breakfast. Sometimes people just want a smoothie, or something small and easy. Dinner - an ala carte type meal every dinner is a bit too much for us (although delicious!), we would have liked an Ottolenghi style buffet... inspired salads and fish, meats to choose from and bob's your uncle. This will definitely be easier for the kitchen when the lodge is busier. I know if we had asked Alice and James they would have obliged our indulgences.
