The friendliness, I was made to feel like family. Location was good.

It was basic, but I knew that, so that's not a criticism.

Serene environment

The path that leads to the lodge is not properly done and my luggage managed to loose one of its wheels, besides there is a foul air maybe from stagnant water. Entering the place you have to be careful of dogs running around. Meanwhile in the room I was not provided with toiletries as indicated in the booking, so I had to dash out to the supermarket to buy toilet paper! Reminded me of covid times when people had to rush and but the toilet paper! Another thing is that the sea in this area is not as nice, and if you are not with a vehicle or bike, you will be sort of stranded. And do not rely on taxi, they cost a bomb and not reliable at all.

This is a quiet , quirky lodge in Polynesian style. It suited me perfectly. I don't like resorts and hotels. I could prepare meals in the outdoor kitchen. It was close to shops and ferries and in a quiet, non- touristy part of Moorea. Clean, comfortable and safe. It was easy to arrange pickup for excursions and a short walk from the ferry. Only three rooms. Most of the other guests were Tahitien. The owner is delightful and very helpful. Not if you want luxury, but excellent if you want to understand daily life and culture and meet a range of locals. Great value if you are on a budget or if you prefer to spend your money on experiences rather than fancy sleeping arrangements and swimming pools. And Moorea is too beautiful to hang around in hotels.

Vaiare ‘Lodge’ is a very simple, low key accommodation option on Moorea. 3 simple ensuite cabins that share an outdoor kitchen area. It’s 10 mins walk from the Ferry There is a good local Pizzeria next door and a supermarket 400 mtrs away. Rental cars, scooters and bikes can be rented 200-300 mtrs away. Clean with Good wifi

It was fine for what we wanted. The owner lives next door and is helpful. Their dogs are a bit loud during the day. At night it was very quiet.
