Tumbo Swahili Villa

If you like to fully embrace Zansibar culture and immerse yourself in their pole pole life style, this is a reasonably priced option for you. Placed in a little village and only 1 minute away from a rather quiet stretch of the beach, we were perfectly happy to stay at Tumbo Swahili villa for a week. Our contact person Tala is a gem and regularly checked in on us to make sure we are OK. Everyone in the village and at the beach was happy to engage in conversations and we felt part of the community pretty much immediately after we arrived.

Spacious and clean room with full kitchen and 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach. Tala, the manager, is the sweetest and friendliest person ever and made sure I was happy.

The host Taala was extraordinary service minded. Even from the time I made my booking she reached out to be available for questions. During my stay she provided support and guidance and was always responding my WhatsApp messages within minutes. Very good host!

Perfect self-catered accommodation. Excellent location 1 minute away from beach, so many shops/stalls around also so easy to buy groceries for cooking. The rooms were clean and staff offered to clean everyday. The staff are super friendly too and quick to respond with any queries. This location isn’t as busy as other areas in Zanzibar which is great for people who want less crowds. Easy to get to also - we rented a car and parked it right outside the house. This was our favourite place where we stayed in Zanzibar.
