Potamia Cave Suites

We visited a lot of beautiful hotels and B&B’s around the world, but Ahmet’s Potamia Cave Suites was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed in! The hotel is beautiful situated in the valley of Ortahisar, a cosy town close to all the Cappadocia highlights. The enormous terrashouse really looks like paradise. Ahmet did the most wonderful job decorating the place even in the smallest details. The rooms are spacious, clean, luxurious and one of a kind. Large and comfortable beds, lovely bathroom with a very large shower. Because the hotel is overlooking the valley, it is extremely quiet at night. The breakfast is either served in a buffet or, when it’s more quiet in the hotel, at one of the many tables on one of the many beautiful terraces at your choice. Daily fresh produce and lovely Turkish delights. Just amazing! (A very big plus for us: breakfast is served until 11h00) Last but certainly not least: Ahmet is by far the friendliest and knowledgeable host we met during our trip through Turkey. He knows everyone and everything there is to know to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Always a smile on his face and ready to take care of his guests. Excellent service, very nice view hotel. Great breakfast. Ahmet texted me before the day I stayed due the bathroom problem so I can’t stay in Potamia but he gave me the other hotel which is next door hotel and upgraded to the suite room, but I believe Potamia room is better. Highly recommended for staying at cave hotel experience

The hotel offers a stunning blend of ancient cave architecture and traditional Islamic design. Ortahisar is a remarkable village that I highly recommend visiting. It's an authentic place with friendly, welcoming residents. Our host, Ahmed, and his team went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The entire experience of Cappadocia was unforgettable, largely due to our stay in Ortahisar and Ahmed’s wonderful hotel.

Absolutely amazing rooms of character! Very well kept and clean. Can’t recommend enough!

There was some confusion about breakfast starting time (the night before we were told 8:30 but in the morning they said 9). No big deal but we had some activities planned in the morning and we were counting on the 8:30 start.
