Potamia Cave Suites

We had a very nice stay at Potamia Cave Suites. The caves are in a quiet and beautiful valley, away from the busy tourist areas. Our host, Ahmed, was amazing—very kind and helpful. He made sure we were always comfortable. Breakfast was really special. Every day, they gave us different local pastries to try, which we loved. If you are visiting Cappadocia, Turney and want a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, we really recommend this place!

Honestly, nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations — we truly had no complaints.

The ambience of the property was extremely cosy, clean and serene. Well-constructed and well-maintained. The room cleaning happens everyday obviously you could opt out. The owner and the staff are always available for your queries and are open for a friendly conversation and a coffee. The breakfast table was set for us before we were there with freshly baked bread, pastry and hot coffee/tea. The location is very calm and beautiful with mountain view.

The toilet may not have much privacy while staying with friends. But for couples, it’s perfect with all facilities and cleanliness.

Location, view, scenery, snd wonderful hospitality of the host and the hostess (the dog ambassador Roxy). The valley trail is beautiful, tranquil and full of wonderful surprises (friendly dogs, horses, cave churches). The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was spectacular.

I am from Germany with Turkish background and visit yearly different parts of turkey, so I have already seen a lot. This is by far the most beautiful place that I stayed here in this country. The place is full of love for details, has an exceptional level of hygienic standard unlike other hotels here nearby we stayed in and a very exceptional nice taste. You have a beautiful view and so many nice spots to chill and relax, the rooms have a big bath tube or a Turkish bath where you can almost have a spa day when it’s raining outside. The breakfast varies daily, everything is home made and you also get clean good food. We extended our stay and are already sad that we need to leave soon. You will definitely feel comfortable around Ahmed who is very polite and easy to talk to.

Ahmet is the kindest and most attentive host of any place I have ever stayed. He has created a haven of peace and tranquility at Potamia Cave, managing most successfully to combine authentic character decor with modern conveniences, such as a brilliant hot shower, loads of power points, high speed Internet and the comfiest bed I’ve slept in for ages. A fabulous breakfast too. Plus, the views are sublime! This is one of those rare travelling experiences when the real thing is better than the photos. If you are looking for a home base in Cappadocia don’t look any further. Ahmet will take the very best care of you at the totally perfect Potamia Cave Hotel.

What an amazing place! Away from all the touristy noise this beautifully decorated hotel in a stunning scenery is just breathtaking. The host is super nice and very helpful to any question you might have. The cave rooms are clean and the breakfast very nice. Clearly 10 out of 10👌🏼

Staffs are really accommodating - Mr Ahmet communicated with us all throughout our stay and made sure we experience the best service. He cooked us delicious turkish breakfast with fantastic view in their reception window outlooking the valleys. Our room’s clean and cozy. Location’s quiet as well. Everything was amazing and definitely will recommend.

We spent four nights at the Potamia Hotel, and everything was wonderful. The hotel has a beautiful location, and the village of Ortahisar is very charming and peaceful. In the morning, we were welcomed by the warm kindness of Ahmet, always available to assist for any request or information and with whom it was a pleasure to have conversation, along with a fantastic breakfast.
