Potamia Cave Suites

The property and its host are exceptional. Achmed is passionate about sharing his beautiful cave suites hotel to guests in the best possible Turkish hospitality, we felt like staying with family. He answers every questions and helps book with experienced advice the best attractions on the area. His breakfasts are different yet fantastic examples of Turkish gastronomy at its best, his effort shows. The rooms are located next to the valley so no matter the room, you wake up to a beautiful scenic and peaceful view. We are extremely grateful for finding this gem in such beautiful region. You also get a view of the Ortahisar castle and its walking distance to the cute little town.

From the outset the owner/manager was incredibly prompt and helpful in all my communication with him. I was a bit concerned as to whether there would be enough light in the cave room but he sent me pictures and reassured me that it would be fine. It was superb -such care has been taken with the furnishings and design of each room and space! The cave rooms felt luxurious and so quiet. A beautiful location with chairs and tables on various terraces and views across the gorge. Eating breakfast in the October morning sun was a wonderful experience - the courses kept coming and all the food was so delicious. And the views such a perfect way to start the day! From the hotel there were some lovely walks so an excellent stay all round. I really recommend this place!

As we are on the older side a reading lamp for the sitting area would be really helpful - especially in the more wintry months when it gets dark earlier.

This place absolutely exceeded our expectations. The village is much smaller and more relaxed than Goreme, and the hotel is perfectly located overlooking a small valley. The sounds of the muezzin call to prayer echoing across the valley is something I'll never forget! Ahmed was kind and super helpful, and resident dog Roxy and multiple cats entertained the kids for hours. Breakfast overlooking the valley was another amazing core memory generated! Make sure to do the little hike in front through the valley. Beautiful!

İt was as authentic as the other cave houses that are tripple the price, very nice view, clean, quite. I was contacted via WhatsApp to support my arrival.

The Potamia has amazing ambiance and decor, its impeccably designed, from the many outdoor balconies and patios, to the room layout, furniture and decorations. The staff is attentive, welcoming and accommodating. Great and memorable cave dwelling experience!

Not much to complain about but the wifi is spotty and slow at times.
