"Awful stay - no working boiler!"

Good location for a Doncaster stay.

I had a terrible experience at this property. I booked 3 nights but left after 1. I turned up with my 6 month old baby to a freezing cold apartment where the boiler wasn’t working, no heating or hot water. The owner sent me instructions how to fix it however I insisted they send someone round. They did and the problem was fixed for a couple of hours but then the boiler stopped working again. My daughter and I had to sleep in a freezing cold apartment with no hot water in February! After complaining the next day to booking.com and the owner they agreed to refund me for the second and third night but said I had to pay in full for the first night. I honestly found this disgusting.

Had a very pleasant stay here for a few days, the apartment was clean and very comfortable so perfect for what I needed. The owners were very polite and prompt in sorting out a small heating issue sending me step by step instructions to sort it and followed up afterwards to make sure everything was okay. Overall very pleased and would definitely recommend! 🙂

It was on the ground floor (4 adults, including elderly mother)

3 night stay but had to reset the combi-boiler twice to get hot water and heating, including as soon as we arrived (once we realised) although the housekeeper had been there just before us. This is obviously a regular occurrence, so some instructions left in the apartment would be helpful. Smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling. Ceiling light in twin room did not work upon arrival (needs new bulb). Bedside light in master too far from a plug so cannot be used. Coffee table in the lounge picture is broken and in the store cupboard. Also broken drawer in master. En-suite bathroom needs regrout or deep clean. I messaged the management company the day before we left about the above but nothing changed and I haven’t heard back from them. They charge £10 extra for check-in at 2pm (instead of 4pm) but I had to call to get the key as it wasn’t in the correct key safe, and then to find no hot water after a long journey…. I have held back that payment.

"Nice stay - nice owners"

Perfect location and the apartment was clean and tidy.

TV did not have any Chanels or apps including Netflix etc. only thing you could watch was BBC iplayer as this was the only thing on the TV. Heating didn’t work for the first night but owners were friendly and approachable and did come and sort it for the second night.

"Lovely property, would definitely stay again."

The location was good, near the racecourse. Hosts were very helpful. Comfortable and clean accommodation with parking. Nicely done inside, lovely soft towels and great rooms and bathrooms. Really nice that it had two separate bathrooms.

The only frustration was the Wi-Fi was too weak for the TV, so we couldn’t watch anything in the evenings.

Lamps in bedrooms didn't reach plugs. One bedroom overhead light didn't work. Kitchen sink cracked and leaking. Old food left in freezer.
