The Panthouse Lodge

- Good location for exploring Northumberland. - Host was very welcoming and friendly. - Lodge contains basic amenities, but feels quite bare. Some accessories would make it feel more homely and cosy. - Clean bedding and towels provided. - Tea, coffee, biscuits included. - The goats and chickens made us smile. - Good WiFi.

- We hadn’t realised that the lodge was in the owners back garden. We thought it would be on some farmland further away from the property. - Unfortunately, the mattress on the double bed was very uncomfortable and the metal bed frame was very loud, which didn’t make for restful sleep. We would advise you to replace this if you can as people are looking to have a good sleep when they pay to go away. - Owner has a dog, which we weren’t aware of until we arrived. Owner advised that she would exercise her dog in a separate part of the garden whilst we were there. One night at around 10.30pm, we let our dogs out for the toilet and the owners dog was there, which took us and our dogs by surprise. One of our dogs is quite scared/reactive towards larger dogs so this wasn’t ideal and not something we were prepared for. - Shower pressure is weak. - Bathroom could have been cleaner. Unfortunately, there were hairs on top of the bin and around the sink. - A clothes rail in the double bedroom would be helpful as there are currently only drawers so nowhere to hang anything up.

Location was amazing for our needs... very friendly very clean and very helpful. Local Pub does very nice food and just a short walk away..

The beds being metal frame beds they make alot of noise everytime some one moves

It was a perfect location for exploring Northumberland. It was spacious and conformable and lovely to see the animals on site.

It was all good.

Amazing location, clean and well equipped lodge, excellent host! Very peaceful surroundings in a beautiful village. Will definitely be returning.

Very clean and tidy

Friendly owner. Great place for children, and well behaved dog. Very clean. Good kitchen facilities. Nice and relaxed. Parking is on street but just outside.

Unfortunately we did not find the double bed nor the bed settee matresses very comfortable, but realise that might just be personal preference.
