"A good choice for exploring beautiful Northumberland"

8.0

The Panthouse Lodge provided an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and coastline. Well equipped and spotlessly clean, the living areas of the lodge offered easy relaxation - and it was nice to be able to stroll around the grounds and meet some of the resident animals.

The sleeping accommodation proved to be a little cramped. There's the option to make use of the sofa bed (we didn't) but which I would recommend for the more corpulent.

"Lovely space, peaceful and the kids toys were great"

10.0

Rosie was very friendly. The lodge is in a great location in the village and the space is great. My 1 year old loved the play kitchen and the goats too. Handy having the sofa bed too, as it was my husband and I, our little one and the grandparents.

"Great place to stay and enjoy!"

10.0

The lodge was fab. Clean, comfy, toys for kids. Outdoor space to enjoy also. There are animals nearby to stroke and feed. Great location to many places of interest to visit and explore. Lovely friendly and helpful hosts.

"Beautiful lodge, well worth a stay!!"

9.0

Panthouse Lodge is in a beautiful little village and very accessible to many other places along the Northumberland coast. The lodge was very clean and my daughter loved being able to see the sheep, goats and chickens from the living room! Rosie was very welcoming. The Northumberland Arms and The Running Fox cafe are both well worth a visit in Felton!

My partner is 6ft and found the bed a bit too small. Other than that it was fantastic!

"Lovely lodge break"

10.0

We loved our stay at the Panthouse Lodge. The first thing we noticed on arrival was how quiet the area is, with no sound of traffic or noise, just the peaceful sounds of the countryside. We had great communication from our host Rosie, both prior to arrival and throughout our stay so that everything ran smoothly, and she also provided some great tips of what to do in the local area, including a fab pub quiz on a Thursday night that we took part in and really enjoyed. The lodge itself was comfortable, nicely decorated and clean, and had all the amenities we could ask for. It had WiFi which was really useful as the phone signal isn't always great in the countryside. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the sofa bed was also comfy enough for the short stay we had. The bedding was good quality and freshly laundered. The bathroom had a large walk in shower, sink, toilet and mirror, and large fresh towels were provided. The lounge area was lovely with comfortable sofas and blankets, a good TV with plenty of channels, a dining table and chairs, and also some toys for children if required. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, which was easy to use, a hob, a large fridge, plenty of countertop space, a sink and draining area and a kettle. Also provided were tea and coffee and a few little biscuits which was a nice touch, and Rosie also provided us with freshly laid eggs from her chickens, a loaf of bread and some milk. Outside of the property is a lovely decked area with a bit of seating where we took time to chill out and read a book. There is also a firepit with material provided to use if you wish. Whilst the lodge itself was absolutely fantastic, the thing that makes it stand out is the location. This lodge is on the land where Rosie and her family also live, and keep a few farm animals, and the lodge is right in the thick of this.

We loved the property and have no negatives about it. The only thing people may need to be aware of is that there's no freezer, so don't bring frozen food.
