Post Office Cottage

The cottage was comfortable, clean, well decorated and in a fantastic location. We enjoyed the walks around the village. There is a lovely bluebell wood behind the cottage which our dog, Lottie, loved. A very steep hill though, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. We visited many places. Some were close by but others that were further away were easy to get to because we were fairly close to the A66 and M6. We were very lucky with the weather too so in all, a lovely week’s holiday.

The toilet seat in the family bathroom was loose but that could be fixed with a Phillips screwdriver.

Comfy beds and was very clean and had good showers. In a small village. With its own driveway. Our dogs were accepted which was very good.

No welcome gift like milk knowing there was no shop open as it was closed for winter break. Stairs are very steep and this needs to be in the description as there is no loo downstairs which we found hard as I have a disability. The front window was letting in water we did get in touch with the owner someone came straight away.

Warm and comfortable. Lovely beds.

Large spacious bedrooms, we were warm enough. Kitchen well equipped

Best accommodation we ever met. Warm, cozy, clean, quiet. Close to a hiking path with great view. Perfect.
