ZAWhat makes this place special is that it is a home away from home managed by 2 beautiful people who care for the island and its people. Steve is a fabulous chef as well! (We had fabulous mines frites.) I will return there.

IDLocation of Lakaz Metiss Arobaz is perfect - close to the beaches, but still nights were silent. The family who is running this place is so helpful and they really want best to their guests. Room was clean and WiFi worked well in the yard. Perfect first stop in Mauritius. Thank you so much and see you soon! :)

USWhat a wonderful experience at this homestay! The 4 rooms on the lower floor of the house are for guests and the upper floor of the house is the home of the owners. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. I slept very well on my double bed. The shared bathroom is cleaned daily and there is plenty of hot water in the shower. The large kitchen made available for guests has many cooking pots, pans, and utensils. The location is on a quiet street, only 5 minute walk to the world famous Blue Bay Beach!
The shower is a bit small for any large person, but it is managable.
DKVery warm welcome by the hosts. The bed was comfy, and I appreciated the access to a kitchen, plus free tea/coffee.
Other people arriving on the second day were too loud - you hear everything through the thin room doors that do not fully close. My room was to the street/veranda/outdoor eating area, and I would have appreciated thicker curtains (they were half-transparent; felt a bit exposed).
