White House Mirissa

We had a perfect stay at the White House guest house. As you arrive at the property it is gated so you can store your bike / tuktuk safely off the road. It has a gorgeous garden which has clearly had a lot of love go into it. It’s very peaceful and you can’t hear the noise of the roads. We had a large comfy king size bed with a mosquito net which is a plus. The bathroom was also big with an electric shower so we could have hot water 24 hours a day. The air con was powerful and kept us cool. The wifi was also good. The owners were so lovely, making us a delicious breakfast every morning including traditional Sri Lankan sweets on New Year’s Day. The guest house is in an ideal location, walking distance from everything. There is also a small shop next door so you can get anything you need. There’s many decent restaurants and beach clubs with swimming pools in walking distance too. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. I would say this guest house is the best value for money out of everywhere I’ve been in Sri Lanka.

The location of the house is perfect, close to the beach but in a calm neighborhood. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed. The breakfast was perfect served every morning by the lovely mother of Asanka. Asanka gave us some good tips for what to do in Mirissa and was always there to help. Would totally recommend staying here if you are planning to go to Mirissa! We really enjoyed it and were sad to leave. Thankyou Asanka and thankyou to your lovely mother!

The host was excellent - very friendly reception and gave us useful information about the area. The garden is peaceful in a beautiful setting. The bed was very comfortable, and great to have air conditioning! Just a short walk from the beach! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend :)

Clean room, everything you need - good air conditioning and fan, comfortable bed and mosquito net, bathroom with good water pressure and warm water. Location is a few minutes from the main beach, and about 12 minutes walk from "secret beach" (much more chilled and in the mornings/evenings you can see turtles if you have a snorkel). Breakfast is nice - omelette, fruit, yoghurt and a little something Sri Lankan like sweet coconut pancakes, or roti. Good value for money

We had a fantastic time at Mirissa White House. The beach is just around the corner, only a short four-minute walk away, and the harbor is also within easy reach. The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place and would gladly return anytime!

I had an amazing stay at this homestay in Mirissa! The room was spacious and the big, cozy bed made for perfect nights of sleep. One of the absolute highlights was the incredible breakfast—fresh, delicious, and truly a dream to wake up to every morning. The host family was unbelievably warm and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The bathroom had hot water with great water pressure, which was such a plus. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool even on the hottest days. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to both the beach and the town center, making everything super convenient. If you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place in Mirissa, this is the perfect choice. I would come back in a heartbeat!

We are three friends from Scotland and Sweden who came to surf, do yoga, and enjoy our vacation. The service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and generous, both coffee and te and we could even choose approximately what time we wanted to have it. The rooms were spacious with AC, the Wi-Fi was great, and the beach was within walking distance. If I return to Mirissa, I will definitely book here again!

Lovely and helpfully family. Exellence breakfast, every day you can taste different local food. You can book tours. Location good, silence neighbourhood, only few minutes to the beach and restaurants.
