It was unfortunately under construction. The walls were also incredibly thin so we were woken up around 6:30 by people talking in the kitchen. The room was also quite damp
USThe staff were all great and friendly. Breakfast was tasty and at a reasonable price. The location was great, very close to the central park and the centro comercial.
I opted for the single budget room, and it's located on the roof with only a fan to keep cool. It did get hot in the afternoons but I wasn't there much during the day so it worked fine for me.

USThe room was large, airy and well appointed. The place was quiet. The staff are fantastic. There is a large kitchen and a dining room too. The Plaza Central is just around the corner and I found it easy to walk the things I wanted to see and to get things I needed. I wish every place where this nice.

DKThe rooms are nice and the beds comfy. The kitchen is really nice and big and the equipment works! All of the staff was really nice! The receptionist, manager, cleaning staff and kitchen staff, everyone. Oh, and the water is HOT, enjoy
There was a bit of construction in some areas, but not anything that felt disturbing.

USthe staff were excellent. super friendly, incredibly helpful with information including telling us where to go to see a Quetzal! Luis tried some English with us, and everyone was very patient with our mediocre Spanish. the hotel is under construction now, but it wasn’t bothersome. it’s already very nice and I think it’ll become a must visit hostel once they finish putting it together. the breakfast was some of the best I’ve had.
some other guests didn’t clean up after themselves in the kitchen one night (not the hostel’s fault). and maybe it was a little difficult to find good restaurants in downtown Coban. these are very nitpicky things and to be fair, I’m sure the staff would have had some good suggestions of where to eat had I asked.

CAThe stay exceeded our expectations! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location is great. The hostal is undergoing Renovations but the staff were caring enough to ensure that we had a quiet room away from the building noise. It will be an exceptional place to stay when renovations are complete. Decor is tasteful and cheery, and the room was equipped with a closet, table, chair and reading lamp, and a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed our breakfast on the sweet balcony. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here!
Of course it would have been nicer if there was no construction, but the work is necessary and the owners are trying to minimize disruptions for their guests!
