Palazzo Scappi Gardi Luxury Apartments

The location was ideal for exploring.. Centrally located, a 20-25 minute walk to the train station or pick up a taxi/uber around the corner as it’s in a pedestrian zone. Our room had a balcony with great views. Shopping was plentiful with plenty of charming stores as well as an H&M and Zara right across the street. The apartment had a lift which is a rare treat with most European apartments. It was modern, and had all the amenities if you wanted to cook. There was even a washing machine on the 3rd floor which was very helpful while on vacation.

The property provided everything we could ask for with the exception of a drying machine. Their machine was a washer/ dryer combo, but after reading the instructions manual, the dryer only portion would not work, and when selected, started the entire wash cycle over again. Fortunately there was a drying rack in the room for clothes and a towel warmer in the bathroom we used to dry socks and underwear.

It's right in the centre of Bologna . Super restaurants all around . Very comfortable . ( and there is a very good supermarket almost next door !

I suggested having a tray to make ice + some salt and pepper . Very small improvements .

We stayed in Amethyst apartment, it was clean, modern and comfortable. We liked having our own space with friends and being right in the centre of Bologna (a perfect location). Matteo gave us all the entry system codes needed to access the property and apartment, and answered any queries prior to our visit promptly via whatsapp. It was a nice touch on the 2nd morning of our stay when Matteo visited and they provided more clean towels, emptied the kitchen bins and checked that we were happy with everything. There were loads of places to have coffee and eat right near the property. We visited a local market (Erbe) for fresh fruit, eggs etc and made our own breakfast, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. For those that may be less mobile there is a lift that can be used.

Not a criticism but it was quirky having a round bed in one of the bedrooms!! Everything was perfect.

No host really. Asked about how to turn on heat or towel warmers and told to find a valve or maybe they aren't working. No luck there. No drip coffee machine or melita filter- small thing but would be nice for North Americans. Kitchen otherwise had the basic essentials.

La habitacion es excelente con la mejor ubicacion. Literalmente a una cuadra esta la plaza mayor donde esta la fuete de Neptuno, de ahi todo queda cerca caminando. Cuenta con un pequeno balcon desde el cual se puede ver la avenida principal y la plaza mayor. La habitacion muy bien acondicionada con cocineta, pequeno comedor y recibidor aparte del cuarto y bano privado. Cuentan con servicio para poder dejar la maleta despues del check-out.

Amazing location, stunning apartment. The host provided brilliant recommendations in the guest book. Perfect stay if you are wanting to either explore Bologna (which was amazing), or use the apartment as a base for doing day trips to several nearby towns/cities. I will definitely return on my next trip to Bologna.
