Al Piccolo Bastione

Great location for all local attractions and train station, bus station and some great restaurants. Property spacious clean and had everything we needed. Felt very safe and secure with all the secure entrance details. A big thank you for allowing us to drop our bags off prior to actual check in. Great communication throughout and video of how to access property as well as recommendations in the area.

It’s one street back from a busy road which if sleeping on sofa bed noise could be heard - so I used ear plugs. Looked like a small Theatre is next door and on first night music was quite loud until early hours.

The apartment was modern, very spacious with loads of light! Bed and sofa were really comfortable! Lift was super helpful and kitchen was well equipped! Location was perfect only a few minutes walk from the bus and Cathedral/Elephant Square! I didn’t want to leave!

The apartment has been designed really well, it's very stylish and airy. It has everything you need and represents great value. It is also very secure but easy to access. It's location is a 5 minute walk to the Duomo with lots of bars & restaurants to explore around it. However if you want to eat in there's everything you need. Olga gives a list of great restaurants and bars to visit.

Location is great, the apartment is huge, and there are two bathrooms. Bed is comfy and appliances are nice. Washing machine was useful to wash clothes halfway through our trip to Sicily.

There were ants everywhere! Crawling all over the floors, couch, kitchen and bathroom, it was disgusting! It was honestly difficult to relax while at the apartment because even when we were sitting on the couch ants started crawling onto us. I told the host about this problem and all she said was that she'd put out poison after we checked out. There was no apology and no offer to take any action at all while we were there. The host could have at least offered to put out some ant traps or clean the apartment again but she did not and didn't even apologize for the disturbance.

Catania, wonderful, a little surprise, my accommodation, wonderful, a second little surprise. I did not expect much from the city, it was my second time in Sicily, but I had never been to Catania. And both, the city and the accommodation, exceeded my expectations. A cozy loft incredibly located a few minutes' walk from the Duomo and the rest of the city's highlights, and close by the wonderful Palazzo Biscari. Roomy, clean, with all the necessary details to feel at home. And its host was very kind, she was always attentive to everything, quick communication via WhatsApp and always with a positive response… Grazie mille Olga, un posto in cui tornare. Ci vediamo!

Beautiful and modern interior. Great extra amenities such as the washing machine, beach umbrella and ability to cook. Great location for both the main attractions and train station.

Fully refurbished apartment with a modern look in a key location. Host was helpful by offering advice and recommendations prior to my stay.

The apartment is a new large modern apartment in a security building. It is located about 10mins walk from the centre and about 15mins from the train station. The washing machine is good and they have a clothes rack for drying the clothes (a rare thing).

As it is a two-story apartment there are internal stairs which are not suitable for the elderly (although it was ok for us). The area is a little more deserted, and can be a little noisy from the traffic (although it is set back a bit from the main road). Limited consumables were provided, e.g. no toilet roll in downstairs toilet, only one upstairs and no spares. Although Olga (host) was very helpful in providing more when made her aware of it.
