Chilamar Surf Lodge

Had the most amazing weeklong stay here! I chose the location for surfing and it was just a short walk to the beach and a board rental shop. I loved sitting on the terrace every morning watching the waves and surfers. There are also restaurants within a short walk and the public buses can easily take you to other beach areas. The room was perfect for me with a comfortable bed and well-working air conditioning. Regina and her staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home and I couldn’t have imagined a better El Salvador experience for myself!

It was an amazing stay. Very close to sunset park, the walk is not that bad at all it was really nice. Aurthor the man who checked us in was really nice and very welcoming. Definitely staying here again.

The WHOLE staff and crew were AMAZING! They are very considerate and were able to answer EVERY question posed regarding the community, locations (surf spots, city and nature landmarks and more) to check out, and especially places to eat! Surf was consistently on point, except after the rain, but still a good wave. Just watch the cobble stones getting in and out! The security gate and free parking was unreal and generated better sense of safety, even though the town itself felt very safe and welcoming! I can't wait to visit again and spend additional quality time with the residents and folks there, they all have a positive attitude about life and direction! The location and access to many restaurants and getting water was very accessible! ALso, the swimming pool at the lodge was constantly cleaned and ready to use the same day! LOL, I wish I chose to pay just a little extra for the room with AC, but actually the fans in the room were good (at the feet seemed to be the best for staying dry. I went during "wet" season (as there seems to be only two types of seasons (wet or dry), so it was a bit humid which is not about the lodge, but that part of the earth! Not much I didn't like!
