Least restful night, dogs barking under the windows nonstop, super bright lights shining inside the room with no good curtains to block it. The bed or the floor slightly slanted. Not a great part of town either. I booked a room that looked like it had a great mountain view, but the photo was deceiving and window was facing the closed corridor with no way to get fresh air into the room, there was also a kid (very cute, but very loud) who was running up and down that corridor the whole time, so it was loud... Hotel was almost empty when I arrived so I could choose a different room, most had the same or worse setup, the room with the actual window was a lot more expensive and so if I wanted to get fresh air I had to pay the difference, which I did, but I triple checked about the dogs and the person running the place said they would not be a problem. Oh, the hot water setup for the shower was a disaster - oscillating between scalding and cold, not being able to stay in the reasonable temperature zone. Other than that misinformation, the staff was ok, but really minimally accommodating... For my second night I found a different place to stay, much better sleep, hot water etc

Melanie, Jesus and their adorable toddler Derian, were wonderful hosts and the property is unique with amazing artwork and wonderful outdoor and indoor areas. We had a triple room that was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. Derian was such a joy and loved playing with our 10 year old :) overall we really loved staying in Ollantaytambo

Only issue was that there were some guests next to us who were up at 3.30am we suppose for an early morning trip to Machu Picchu and they were really loud and inconsiderate for almost an hour until we think they left.

The location is super! We could see fantastic natural landscapes from wide windows and bath tub!! The beds are enough comfortable and essential facilities such as closet, refrigerator, tv, etc. are there. Breakfast was also good! Ham, cheese, avocado, tomato, bread and eggs! Staffs are all warm and kind and you will feel very relax. Good country stay not only for machu picchu visit but also for enjoying ollan taytambo itself!

Hot water supply shall be improved for bath tub and shower!!

Melany en haar man waren geweldig behulpzaam. Even de bus naar Machu Picchu voor me geboekt. Tuktuk voor me besteld naar het centrum of het trein station..niets is ze te veel. Een geweldig vertrekpunt voor een dag bezoek aan Machu Picchu, inclusief lunchpakket. Echt een aanrader. Ik reis op de motor van Alaska naar Ushuaia en dit was één van de beste hotels!!! Motor staat ook echt veilig en droog. EEN AANRADER Albert
