La Rochelle Cottage

The property was set in a quiet residential area, which is only a few minutes walk from the main street. The area felt safe at all times. We were able to sit in the garden at the property in the afternoon and early evening.

Everything was just as expected.

The location is safe in a lovely neighbourhood- safe for early morning walks. Yes, dogs bark and Sunday morning a LOUD bell from a nearby church woke me--but that's suburbia. Jan-Louis is a good host. The bed is very comfortable ,the seating adequate if too crowded with an oversized leather settee. The TV should have an instruction sheet. The kitchen has all you need with updated equipment - the coffee machine did not heat properly though and no other coffee was on hand. It would have been nice to have a Nespresso machine for the milk. Some rusks would have been a nice touch . The air conditioning is a huge bonus as is the the outdoor area. Fake grass is not my favourite thing but in the heat of Summer, probably wise. There are lovely views up the mountain and the surrounding houses with gardens are very quaint.

Seating area too cramped inside. The bench table was not very comfortable outside. Casual outdoor furniture would enhance the look. The parking inside the gate is rather tight for any large car. There is no mosquito spray or bathroom spray . Little things make a difference. I had to ask for Hand lotion for the shower. The towels are not bath sheets.

Fantastic location. Beautiful apartment with everything you would need. I would highly recommend.

Clean, lovely just what we needed, very central and what honest host/owner 🙏🙏I forgot my iPad in the cottage, they Couriered it immediately and do not want a refund on the cost. Very commendable. Highly recommended.

I loved how well equipped the cottage was for its size and its location was perfect for us to walk into the town.

Good location. Clean. Comfy bed. WiFi. Parking.

Lovely cottage, easy to walk to town and wine tram station. Great facilities, close to all amenities. Will definitely go back.
