Arusha Serena Hotel

Food was good, staff were helpful. The room was clean, quiet. The grounds are beautiful and although the site is very close to human activity we felt safe wandering along the perimeters.

From the website, I assumed the hotel is on a lake. It is not. The lake is nearby. If you want access you have to pay for a guided escort. The electrical system is touchy. Throughout our stay the power kept blinking off and on, which had some consequences for online work.

One hour wait to check in at 8pm....as room were not ready

The breakfast buffet was satisfactory, offering a range of standard options like eggs, toast, and pastries. While it lacked a touch of creativity or local flair, it was convenient and filling. The buffet included a selection of fruit juices, coffee, and tea. I appreciated the option to request a specialty coffee drink, and the staff kindly accommodated my request for a cappuccino – which arrived as a generous double shot. Overall, a solid breakfast offering, even if it didn't exceed expectations."

A continental breakfast spread with a variety of meats, cheeses, and breads would have been a wonderful addition. Additionally, serving fresh juices instead of packaged options would have elevated the breakfast experience. Overall, a solid breakfast offering, but with a bit of room for improvement to take it to the next level.

The grounds were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was always great to interact with. Liked the lounge area and the outdoor patio and lawn area overlooking the lake.

The food was good but not much variety.

Excellent rooms with nice view

Very beautiful gardens, nice lobby and restaurant. Staff did make some mistakes but fixed the issues promptly. Restaurant staff works hard and provide good service.

Original room given was meant for 2 people but they crammed 3 single beds in a small room with little space to move around. One dirty towel left in the room when we checked in.

The colonial style house and grounds are lovely.
