"Overall, it was really good."

9.0

Sauna, hot tub, cozy cottages, Mountain View’s, very helpful and accommodating staff

No working bathrooms, one shower for all, loud construction nearby, no coffee maker. We felt bad about how overworked the staff seemed. They kept really good attitudes despite the long hours they worked.

"Howling Wolf Resort."

10.0

Stunning views. Fun tent room with plenty of space. Excellent for a quick couples get away, or family "camping" experience. The room was clean and crisp and the bed was really comfy. No issues. Easy to get to, close to fishing, close to town, close to the docks. Really solid choice for our future adventures.

Nothing to report.

"Disappointing stay at what could be a nice place"

3.0

The cabins were well furnished. Hot tubs, sauna, barbaque and fire pit amenities were all nice and appreciated.

Next to an active quarry that's operational 7am - 5pm. Campsites under construction from 8am - 9pm. No working bathrooms or showers on site. No running water. Two portable toilets on site but they were nearly full. The only working shower was in the nearby apartment complex office and shared with the whole camp trying to use it at night. We were also deceived about the state of the bathroom and shower facilities at check-in (told they would "be operational today or tomorrow" but they were far from completed). The steps to the bathroom area was an unfinished tripping hazard. Also, there was no water jugs or means to extinguish camp fires besides using your limited drinking water provided in the tent.

"A different experience."

5.0

It will be nice when it all finished I wasn’t aware but it’s glamping .

Lack of showers . You share 1 shower with about 2 dozen cabins / tents. The toilets are outhouses . Makes going to the bathroom at night an event. Difficult to find office.

"Amazing glamping experience, despite improvements needed"

8.0

The glamping cottages were very clean and cute, the bed and linens were nice, firm and comfortable and the table and items provided were sufficient for glamping. The sauna also felt amazing, and we used the grill and hot tubs as well. The people were friendly and working on establishing everything yet..

The biggest disappointment was that the showers and bathrooms were not functional yet, except 1 shower and it was a little tricky to figure out. It surprised us that in year 2, they didn't have one toilet running in the glamping area, just 2 porta potties and a bathroom in the office guests could use. They seemed to be working to build the place and more units still.

"Glamping at its best!"

10.0

Really great place for a glamping experience! The Tent Cabins are awesome inside with nice touches to make things comfortable throughout. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking! Camilla, who helps run things, was awesome with assisting us with any needs or requests. Definitely recommend if you want an outdoor camping experience with a touch of cozy comfort. Pack warm clothes even in Summer. Very close to Exit Glacier and Seward Harbor.

Bathrooms and showers are still under construction, but there are temporary facilities on site.

"Not good"

5.0

It's hard to find the property. The shower and the sink is outside of the camp ground. It's in the office building where you have to walk about 2 minutes and puddles of water. It's not like regular camp ground, the shower is really closed to where you live. The propane heater only last for about a little over 8 hours, so we were cold in the early morning. Also, we only got one container of water (probably was about 2 gallons). They were not fully prepared because they were short on body wash and soap bars, etc. The price is too high compared to nearby highly rated hotels. I paid about $253 vs other hotel is only $190. I won't recommend to my friends unless they improved the facility.

"A True Alaska Experience"

8.0

Great stay. Highly recommend! Kids were disappointed that we had to leave. We arrived early for our reservation (and for the season). The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate our group of 6. The sauna was clean, the hot tub a favorite, and we wanted to take the Adirondack chairs home! If you love camping but want to sleep on a bed, this is the place for you! If you love camping but don’t want to haul the equipment, this is the place for you! If you want to immerse yourself in Alaska and not just see it from the window, this is the place for you.

Not all features were operational but the staff was hard at work preparing the property for future guests.
