Locations amazing. Decor and overall look and vibe of the place is very authentic and nice overall.

The sheets had a very strong smell of detergent. And because of the location streets can be noisy during the night. The main look was hard to deal with. But in general really like the location and authenticity of the place

Location was great and apartment is liveable. It has the basics (but is not luxurious or exclusive).

Not something the owner can control, but even though the apartment is located in a pedestrian street it’s very noisy in the evenings especially on the weekend. If you’re a light sleeper you need earplugs. Something the owner can control: The apartment is advertised as exclusive (named luxury when we booked) but is far from luxurious and so is the attitude of the owner. Bathroom needed a deep clean and had black spots (maybe mold). Some days we didn’t have hot water. Doorknob and shower was broken. WiFi signal was non-existing in the bedroom but we were not allowed to move the router. Owner speaks English, but most messages from owner are in Italian including some important information about sorting and getting rid of trash which could cost you a 100€. The information about trash was very confusing and only given on the day of arrival, not when we booked the apartment so we didn’t know in advance. When asking for the information in English the owner never replied. The apartment only had a couple of toilet rolls for 3 people for a week and when asking for more it led to an argument with the owner who eventually said we could buy more ourselves as it wasn’t her responsibility. In general the owner was just very hostile, not friendly or helpful which made the overall experience awful.

The location is excellent. The apartment is spacious and well decorated. Good starting point for any excursion in the region. Private taxi and car rental possible, which is a huge plus if you want to visit Syracuse and the Etna.

No contact with the owner other then via messages. For one week one set of towels not really enough, as they don't really dry during the day. Some wee repairs are needed( broken door handle, broken switch, cold-warm shower tap reversed).

The location and view from the apartment was really amazing. The interior stylish and with all necessary requirements.

The service of the apartment, the noise outside and cold shower. Please if you’re family and value your sleep, don’t stay here. Each weekend there’s a lot of noise outside that will leave you sleepless beyond midnight. This you cannot solve with earplugs since they base is really deep. When confronting the owners they denied they ever got complaints and said they could do nothing about it. Really disappointing.

The only positive aspect of this stay was the apartment's location and the fact that the hosts tried to help. However, please make sure to clarify which apartment you will receive before booking, as it’s not worth the money for the inconvenience we endured.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this apartment. The pictures on the listing are misleading as at least three different apartments are shown as the same one, leaving guests unsure of what they will actually receive. (Starting with the very first deceiving picture on the listing). The apartment we were given was on the 4th floor (not the first as described), with no elevator – the so-called "attic." This made the stay particularly difficult, as there were in the apartment itself numerous stairs between rooms, which are unsafe for older individuals like my parents, and certainly not ideal for me as a pregnant woman. In addition to the inconvenience of the stairs and receiving the wrong apartment, we encountered several issues upon arrival: - No heating, internet connectivity, and later power cut: These issues were resolved eventually, but they should have been functioning properly upon arrival. - Toilet: One of the toilets didn’t flush properly, and there was no WC seat, making it impossible to use. When we raised the issue, the hosts said they couldn’t find the right seat, but after closer inspection, it was clear the seat had been missing for a long time and they simply didn’t care to address it. - Cleanliness: The apartment was not as clean as described (see the picture) - Confusing communication and lack of honesty: There was a lack of clear communication and no sincere apology for the inconvenience caused. We wanted to leave immediately but were convinced to stay as the hosts assured us they would resolve the issues. While they did manage to fix the power, internet, and heating, the other issues persisted throughout our stay. Ultimately, as a pregnant woman, I had to leave and move to a friend's apartment due to the unsafe and uncomfortable conditions.

We would definitely not recommend this property to anyone. We really hope that this review helps other travellers like us and save them from a very bad experience during their trips or holidays which are meant to be a special time. We booked the property for 4 nights and were obliged to stay the first night as our flight was late afternoon and we reach the property at night. We did not have hot water to shower and the heating was not working. We immediately contacted the hosts who did not do anything. We waited until the next morning for a response but nothing. We had no choice than to look for an alternative accommodation and advised them that we are checking out. We also requested that a refund for the 3 additional days booked and paid for, be refunded, but the hosts did not respond. We contacted booking.com who advised that the hosts do not agree to any refunds despite renting out a property where basic amenities such as hot water for a shower and heating in December winter season not working. This property was absolutely dreadful. The host was not just unpleasant but downright rude and unhelpful. Any questions or concerns were met with indifference or outright hostility. Taking cold showers in the middle of winter was unbearable. The heating system was also non-existent, leaving the apartment freezing and completely uncomfortable. The host's attitude and lack of basic amenities made this one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed in. I strongly recommend avoiding this place if you value your comfort, warmth, or basic decency from a host. The courtyard entrance is like a construction site, extremely dirty, dusty and should not be available for rental in these conditions as there is definitely a health and safety issue. We also met another guest staying in the other property rented by the same hosts and they advised that they did not have any running water at all in their apartment.
