The Winford Retreat

The property was perfect! The host was wonderful, extremely accommodating. Little welcome hamper on arrival, beautiful little hut perfect for couples. Warm and cosy inside, Peaceful, quiet location, beautiful surroundings. Very clean. Perfect in every way. We had the BEST time! X

There’s NOTHING we didn’t like.

The Retreat is in a great location, giving balance for both venturing into the city but also had the calmness of the rural countryside. The interior & decor was both cosy & really stylish, with all necessities provided and some really lovely added extras (we loved the added touches of the robes, marshmallows for the fire & bottle of bubbly!) The indoor log burner kept the hut super warm despite us staying in the colder months, and also added to the general cosy vibe. Outside of the hut boasts large grounds, firepit & seated area perfect for stargazing & an amazing outdoor tub! We loved our stay, & Kirsty was super responsive & helpful, the perfect host! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Amazing little hideaway, beautiful hut with lots of lovely touches and thoughtful treats! The host was very helpful and easy to be in touch with. All the amenities, perfectly thought out. Loved the fire pit, marshmallows and outdoor bath tub. The garden/ grounds are also beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

We had a lovely time at the hut. The facilities were spot on and hut and surrounding areas were so peaceful. It's fantastic that is this a dog friendly stay and the outside location is secure so we could let our dog potter about and not feel worried about the road or anything else. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and the care package was fully appreciated! Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful location, well equipped, super comfortable-Amazing!!

The location was great for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta which was specifically why we travelled to the area. The hosts were very helpful with evening meal recommendations. Amazing welcome hamper. Top quality products to use ie toiletries, cleaning products etc. We could also see the balloons on the evening assent - what a bonus !! A totally beautiful Shepherds Hut.

The bed was rather narrow for 2 people, but I knew this when I booked. It was big enough but I sleep like a starfish so maybe it wasn't so great for my husband.

Everything! The most perfect, tranquil stay. The host has went out their way to ensure maximum comfort for their guests. All the little details were perfect. The place was spotless. The outdoor bath tub was amazing to relax in at night with a glass of wine watching nature go by. The hosts communication was great. Will definitely be back.
