Villa Mira Heritage

We loved the quiet surroundings being just 5 min away from main attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they organised our train tickets and helped us with our tours.

Cozy, very quiet place with large and clean rooms, balconies, located in the very centre. It’s long not my first time in Luang Prabang, and Villa Mira is one of the few best place I have stayed at, even extended my stay. My Lao friends visiting me also felt very welcomed. Thangs again to all of them working there and making us feeling at home. I’m definitely coming back there.

First impressions very nice, clean and spacious in the actual room. We appreciated the ceiling fan and aircon too. Water in the rooms in refillable glass bottles instead of plastic. Bath towels and hand towels. Great dark room when shuttered. Breakfast was really good, a buffet of fruits, yogurt, cereals, french bread, nice preserves, and egg and bacon.

It's a shoes-off place, but twice I had to draw attention to a dirty floor. The breakfast floor was so dirty we baulked at the stairs and went back up to find shoes. No point in shoes off unless it is spotless. Our room had a private balcony which sounds nice but the room 'enjoyed' music morning and night. I'm not into non-optional music up to midnight. The morning was even noisier if possible. It is cash only. Not much of a fan of handing cash over no-receipt either. We went above budget for one night for a treat and it was poor value due to noise and dirt, plus the room did not have what it said in the listing. There was no desk in the room (a desk is not the balcony seating). Or bathrobe. Or coffee machine (this is not a kettle, also listed). Plus one pair of slippers for 2 people is not useful. An empty fridge is not a 'minibar'. It was not located on the ground floor as listed. A view of the house opposite is not a 'city view'. Etc

We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff. Thank you for all.
