Hands down the best food we had on our Mestia to Ushguli hike. As other reviews have noted, it's a little off the main trail but don't let that deter you as Medea will pick you up from Iprali and drop you off at the start of the trail for the next day. Speaking of Medea, she is an incredibly welcoming and kind host who will help you with whatever you need. Our room was super comfortable and there is a nice terrace with an incredible view. Our dinner was incredible, there was so much food that we couldn't possibly finish it all which was a shame because it was all just so good! Not to mention breakfast, which was just as good!

A bit more expensive than other guesthouses on trail for dinner (40gel) & breakfast (35gel) but it's still great value given how good it is and how much there is.

Medea a été super réactive et disponible. Elle nous a accueilli avec une grande gentillesse, nous a préparé des repas délicieux, et nous avons même pu rencontrer ses animaux et ses enfants. Merci mille fois pour leur accueil et je recommande à 100% de séjourner chez eux ! Grazie mille Medea ❤️

A really good place to stay, very familiar. A very beautiful place and house. The dogs and the cat are the best. Food was amazing, probably one of the best I had in any guesthouse. Madea is very kind and was always looking forward to us. Also, as the house is not on the path of the Mestia-Ushguli trek, and she actually drove us from and to the closest town, which was amazing.

Media was a great host, lovely room, good food and even pick up from Iprali! Highly recommend staying here if you’re doing the hike to Ushgali!

A lovely guesthouse with a warm and welcoming host. Although the guesthouse is not directly on the Mestia-Ushguli trek, the owner kindly offered us a ride, which was greatly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the host was always quick to assist with anything we needed, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Definitely worth a visit!

This place was truly, truly special. For fellow hikers - this is about 1.5 miles off the Mestia-Ushguli trail, and the host was kind enough to pick us up and drop us back off in Lalkhori! The home is so nice, with stunning views of the valley. The food is DELICIOUS and the host and her family were so kind and hospitable. I would stay again and truly recommend this special place to anyone considering it

Sehr schöne Unterkunft etwas abseits der Wanderstrecke. Bei Bedarf kann man sich aber abholen lassen. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste, ich könnte mir vorstellen,dass bei voller Belegung ein Badezimmer pro Stock zu wenig sind. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Gerne wieder!

Podczas trekingu od Mestia do Ushguli to było najbardziej sympatyczne miejsce, w którym się zatrzymałam. Niezwykła, dzika okolica dało nam jeszcze inne spojrzenie na Gruzję. Jedzenie było przepyszne i obfite! To prawdziwa uczta, której nie byliśmy w stanie dojeść do końca :) A gospodyni, jej maleńka córeczka i przyjazny kotek sprawili, że czuliśmy się jak w domu.

Gdybym miała się przyczepić do czegoś - odległość od głównej trasy trekingowej mogłaby być problemem. Ale się nie przyczepię, bo przejście było ciekawe i nieuciążliwe, a rekompensata za dodatkowe 2 kilometry w postaci klimatu okolicy, domowej atmosfery i pysznego jedzenia sprawiła, że powtórzę - naprawdę polecam to miejsce!

Clean beautiful well renovated house, elegant interior. Beautiful view. Nice yard where you can relax and drink coffee. The host Medea is very hospitable and tactful. She helped us with everything: washing clothes, water, lift to the hiking path. Her dinner was very delicious (no lactose and no gluten as we asked). Red wine was included (we tried a little and liked it). It's a family house, but it's quite big and guest zones are separated so you have your privacy. Everyone is very warm and friendly. Big purring cat and wonderful little girl 💘 It was 100% our best stay in Georgia so far. True hospitality + great service, we felt very comfortable and welcome. Would definitely recommend.
