Porto Hostel Cúpula

Sehr sauberes und modernes Hostel in guter Lage, viele Cafes und Restaurants in Gehweite. Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Die vielen Rezensionen über mangelnde Privatsphäre sind denke ich veraltet, da die Duschen zumindest im unteren Stock durch Mauern getrennt waren und einen Vorhang hatten. Gutes Equipment in der Küche. Nette Sitzmöglichkeit beim Eingang.

Wenn man weiß wie, würde man auch ohne Zugang zumindest in das Hostel reinkommen, eine Frau von der Straße hat mir das gezeigt, da ich Probleme mit dem Öffnen der Türe hatte. Für längere Aufenthalte möglicherweise zu wenig Stauplatz (ein Handgepäckskoffer und Rucksack hat gerade so in den Spind gepasst).

Even without check in desk ,the administrator helps via WhatsApp and really nice. The place is safe and clean Location-perfect if u travel by train

I guess for some people it's confusing instructions via email -maybe better to improve ,so there would be less misunderstandings

Lacking fresh air in the rooms

Lack of air ! Lack of equipment and the non communicative online staff

Bed was goed met gordijn en lampje Keuken was oke met basics, niet erg speciaal maar het functioneert goed. Meubilair in de keuken minder. Amenities waren goed, zeer goede douche. Goede locatie, 5 minuten lopen van bus- en metrohalte. Supermarkt en andere winkels in de buurt. Ook kan je in 20-30 minuten naar het centrum wandelen.

Kleine koelkast voor zoveel mensen. Oplaadpunt bij het bed werkte niet Mijn eten werd gestolen door andere gasten Onpersoonlijke ervaring, geen receptie, weinig ziel in het hostel. Geen spiegel in de kamer Niet super schoon Geen plankjes in de douche om je toiletartikelen op te zetten. Geen haakjes bij je bed om iets op te hangen. Dat is echt essentieel in een hostel. Je kon nergens je handdoek laten drogen en je krijgt 1 handdoek. La onder bed voor spullen kon op slot met je eigen hangslot, maar dit kon ook zeer makkelijk door iemand met een schroevendraaier opengemaakt worden. Niet heel veilig dus Wat ik erg storend vond, was dat de lichten in de badkamer/wc/keuken met een sensor elke keer na 30 seconden uit gingen. Wie poetst er in 30 seconden zijn tanden?! Vreselijk

I had made a reservation in advance. When I got there, they said there were no beds ready. There was no one to answer. Only a phone number that was not answered. Unfortunately, the booking service Cartography also answered the next day.

Private room was nice and clean

Check in procedure is pain and not intuitive and on top of it, buggy. On the night we stayed there were multiple groups that arrived late at night and did not have the check in or instructions to get a room. Pay attention to the booking chat before you come or you might end up on an uncomfortable situation. And even if you do everything properly, the online platform might just decide not to open the door as it did with us for awhile.

The location was good, walking distance to the train station and good restaurants.

The mattresses should be thrown away, along with the sheets and towels. We had a room (number 6) with two twin beds and both mattresses were equally uncomfortable. You can feel the springs in your back; I should've just slept on the floor. The sheets were rough. The towels were old and dingy. There was black mold on the window shade in our bathroom. The common bathroom area on our floor doesn't even have a door. You could smell, see, and hear everything in there as you walked by. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everyone. Luckily we only stayed one night. The best part of our experience here was leaving.
