Rock Park Penthouse

Clean and tidy. Plenty of towels tea towels etc. appreciated the tea and milk in fridge. Quiet area. Car parking either outside property or in car park at the back.

Bath/shower. Bath very narrow and small. Only hand held shower over that. We stayed on hottest day of year. Flat was 35.5 degrees when we arrived and into the night only one large fan. Needed extra one for bedroom the small fans supplied did nothing.

The flat could use some serious maintenance. The bathroom is falling apart - the bath and toilet seat weren't properly attached. The oven hood doesn't vent to the outside of the building, so smoke just circulates in the kitchen. I also found the lack of a shower really annoying as a tall person who had to crouch and contort to get into the bath. Most of the flat has sloped ceilings, so one to avoid if you're on the tall side.

The standout part is the cleanliness of the apartment. Well equipped with a good TV and WiFi set up. Nice touch with a good supply of coffee, tea, and milk to start you off. Parking was plentiful.

A couple of bits needed a bit of TLC, mainly in the bathroom. (Door and wall above taps)

The airy space. A coffee machine. Comfortable beds. Lots of pillows. Very quiet.

The stairs. No place to hang clothes. Awkward shower bath combination. Struggled with TV and gave up.

It was quiet, very clean, well equipped and the bed was comfortable.

The very low sloping ceilings in every room were a real problem. Two people eating at the table was OK but the 3rd person had to lean slightly sideways to avoid banging their head. Having a proper shower was not feasible and even getting in and out of bed without the 2nd person crawling over the first was difficult. The listing did explain that there were a lot of stairs but the final flight felt dangerous, especially when carrying baggage, because of the very low headroom. From a neighbour's comments as soon as we arrived there appeared to be a lack of clarification about the parking rights at the rear of the building.
