Dimora Dei Semplici

The owner and her staff were unfailingly warm and friendly. Our bedroom (though quite small) was immaculately clean, the bed very comfortable and the shower was good. A wonderful aspect of Dimora were its large and really beautiful gardens. We greatly enjoyed walking through the different areas.

Although the Dimora team took great trouble over breakfast, and included some gluten free items, the quality of the baking was not as light and delicious as we hoped. The emphasis was on healthy, ecological food which was a great idea but we felt that fewer items, cooked or baked to a higher standard, would provide a better experience.

We loved everything about this place. Both the house and the landscape surrounding are stunning. The staff was extremely welcoming and considerate and they really made us feel special. Breakfast is amazing and there is the optionality to have dinner either in group or privately at the house: the staff organized for us an amazing romantic dinner in the garden.

Nothing. It was absolutely perfect and beyond any expectation.

Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön, sauber und gut gepflegt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und haben uns Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung gegeben. Es gibt 2 Pools, die umgeben sind von Gras und Bäumen. Sehr idyllisch. Das Frühstücksbuffet mit hausgemachten Köstlichkeiten wird draußen unter einer Pergola neben dem Pool serviert. Es lässt keine Wünsche offen. Trotz Hochsaison war die Atmosphäre sehr ruhig und erholsam. Die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Ostuni, Alberobello, Cisternino und auch das Meer ist nur eine halbe Stunde Autofahrt entfernt.

Geweldig mooi, oase van rust & super gastvrij. De kamer zijn schoon, ruim & modern met de oude touch erin van hoe het huis vroeger was. De tuin is waanzinnig groot, opgeruimd, schoon & ruim. Wil je iets bezichtigen,uit eten in de omgeving of een kapperbezoek en is hier een reservering voor nodig? Geen probleem Valentina regelt dit voor je. Het ontbijt & avond eten is heerlijk! Veel uit eigen tuin en versgemaakt.

Het water uit de kraan kan je niet drinken & voor drinkbaar water moet je betalen. Dit is eigenlijk het enige “minpuntje”.

Le petit déjeuner était très agréable (lieu, climat) et très copieux (viandes séchées, fromages, biscuits, fruits, pain...). La Maîtresse de maison est très agréable et aux petits soins. Le lieu est magnifique (2 piscines, des sofas partout, un grand jardin....) et très bien éclairé le soir. Les chambres sont belles et les lits confortables.

Rien de particulier si ce n'est que l'accès au site est à effectuer si possible de jour (route étroite pour le moins).

Amazing venue in the quiet countryside of Puglia. We were all by ourselves and were very well taken care of. Will come back again!

Wonderful, quite & romantic place, that allows to relax on site and is a good basis for trips to the surrounding destinations in Puglia.

Dimora is a beautifully restored masseria, with two swimming pools and lovely rooms. The masseria is not a hotel and there were a few hiccups but these were managed very quickly by the owner, and the manager, Valentina. For example on our first night there was no chef to make any light bites so Valentina went into the kitchen herself and put together a meat and cheese charcuterie board which was huge and so beautifully presented. The breakfasts are worthy of a special note, a wonderful selection with freshly baked cakes some mornings, still steaming from the oven. We also had a lovely dinner at the property, which needs to be arranged in advance, with a private chef and that was delicious. The location is perfect for exploring the Valle D’Itria, less than 10 minutes drive from Martina Franca and only about 15 mins to Locorotondo.

Hard to find something we didn’t like but if we had to be pushed it might be that we could hear the cleaners early in the morning sometimes.
