Family Surf Chicama

Our stay at Family Surf was great. The property is the furthest hotel on the end of the point, and it was incredibly easy to walk down to the water and surf whenever we wanted to. Junior was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed from breakfast, taxis/transport to and from the airport and to another surf break, and organizing boats to surf at Chicama. Highly recommend staying here!

You’re right in front of the wave!

Everything was great but I have to say that the bed was not super comfy but other than that it was great!

junior is great, a real great host. the position is as good as it gets.

my room was near the common area so a bit noisy. hard to open the window during the day as people walking past could look straight in.

Views, cleanliness, helpful and attentive staff.

We were very well looked after, especially by our dear Junior. The breakfast was good, but not very large. The cleanliness was ok. The guesthouse was very close to the beach, with a good leisure area and excellent cuisine. We also had dinner with the hosts of the guesthouse, especially Poul.

The only thing to be aware of is the fees they charge, and it is suggested that you pay in cash so that the fees can be avoided.

Junior was awesome, he stays laughing, if you need anything ask him he will get it or tell you how! The water in the shower is HOT, I didn’t see this posted anywhere and was kinda worried that it would be cold showers. The whole staff is wonderful I missed breakfast several times, but they still made it for me. I was sick the last day due to taking in some bad water and they let me stay 7 hours after checkout, they just really are the best place to stay, no comparison!

Great location at the quiet end of Chicama overlooking the beach. Nice, clean, spacious rooms. Junior was very responsive and helpful. Overall a great stay! Highly recommend!

Pillows on the bed weren’t super comfortable.

Junior was super friendly and helpful with everything! It's perfectly located for surfing.

- Bad exchange rate while paying - Junior Manager is texting and asking too much in advance; two times he was having super loud phone calls before 7 am in the lobby which disturbed my sleep; once I came back from surfing, I waited 20 mins in front of the door because no one was there and it was freezing - Room was quite sandy when we entered
