"Short and no sleep"

3.0

Apart from being quirky and quaint nothing else appealed

Bed was awful - no plugs - shower curtain needs amending - no fridge kept having to plug kettle in the living room

"Again, very very unsatisfactory. Would advise against it!"

1.0

We didn’t get to stay at Fisherman’s Cottage as apparently it had been double booked. We were put in a room in a house up the road with no apology or anything.

The room was extremely small with a very uncomfortable bed, not even room for a chair. The shared bathroom was absolutely disgusting, floor was permanently flooded it seems so we had to paddle to the toilet and basin. There were sopping wet towels over the floor, empty toilet rolls strewn around the room (at least 9 I counted ) empty toilet roll bags thrown down. Mould and mildew around the bath and taps and a toilet seat that was falling off. Other people in the property (we guess who live there permanently) were arguing very loudly with foul language. My wife didn’t feel safe, and we were both very unhappy with it all. We complained in the morning when we returned the key to the main hotel and the chap didn’t seem bothered, he just said, oh sorry about your experience, I’ll let the cleaner know. Very very unsatisfactory.

"Compact room"

Great location friendly staff

Not a great door just shuts via a shed lock basically. Definitely need a teaspoon with the tea facilities. Could do with more than 1 plug Toilet is at a bad angle to use properly.

"Pleserus a chyfforddus! Pleasant and convenient!"

7.0

Digon da, cyfforddus a chyfleus. Definitely quirky and an interesting place to stay and very convenient too just a stone's throw from the breach. Would definitely consider booking again.

Perhaps a little too cramped for more than a few days!

"Dreadful place"

1.0

Nothing.

This was advertised with garden and dogs friendly. It is not. The "garden" is a tiny courtyard shared with a least 2 other properties the gate to which leads directly out on to the street making it unsafe for dogs or children. I could not stay there and drove home. They did offer a room in the hotel but again no good for dogs. They refused to even partially refund me. Also the key to the cottage, if you can call it that as its more like a galley, does not work properly you have to jiggle it around. The front door opens almost onto the bed which is directly opposite the gate leading to the street!! Dreadful place don't go there.

Quirky but historical. Basic but certainly suits me. Great staff.

Basic, good but could be elevated a bit
