Balconi san Giorgio

The location is excellent.

Breakast was very basic- one cup of coffee and a croissant. If I wanted any more - even just an extra cup of coffee - I had to pay more.

The B&B is at a very good location, a quiet little square with nice restaurants and cafés. The room was quite spacious and also very clean. I should also mention how kind Mr Simone was. He was very helpful.

The pillows could have been more comfortable.

Facing the city plaza close to all the restaurants and information center.

Cannot be more central. Daniele (at Bistro Varenna) was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (down at Bistro Varenna) was OK. Como is fabulous!

Rather pricy for what you get, but all around Como it's the same. Irritatingly early check-out (at 10) without option to store suitcases. Yes the church-bells and the pleasant social evening noise from the square was heard, but didn't bother us much.

Shower was leaky, had to wipe floor afterwards.

Loved the location - looking down on the central square of Varenna, close to everything. Room is very comfy, bathroom is nice and roomy. There are plenty of closets and an anteroom for suitcases, etc. Coffee maker outside the room in a central shared hallway. There is cappucino and a croissant included with the room.

The shower is a bit tight for a tall or large person.
