I was stressed when I arrived and saw the place from outside. It looked very run down. I could Not work the entry system. I wondered round for two hours wondering if I should go home. I eventually managed to contact someone. I tried again with the entry code but could Not see the small number pad. Eventually someone helped me.

Their were two sets of very steep stairs. I am 69 year old lady. I just managed the stairs. There was loud noise from the pub below. I could Not stay anywhere like this again.

The room was very cold, we did have a plug in heater but couldn't seem to get the radiator on. The bathroom was very cold, to cold to shower. It was a dreadful weekend of weather and you could hear and feel the wind blowing though the window.

Really lovely room, super quirky and super comfy. Premises were quiet and I slept like a dream!

I wish there hadn't have been dead stuffed animal heads on the walls upon entrance, but hey ho its not a HUGE deal hahah!

Lovely view, room was nice and clean, bed was comfy and we both slept great.

Only downside was the shower isn't very powerful but minor thing really.

Value for money, location is brilliant, clean and tidy. Contact from the owners really good

Lots of stairs and no lift so no good for anyone disabled but then they can't do much about the stairs

Very quiet peaceful would be very good for long stays in portsmouth

Nice, comfortable double bed. Adequate space in the wardrobe to hang clothes. Kettle with coffee, tea and milk. Bathroom next to my room which was constantly free. Another bathroom there also.

I didn't see any staff. The hotel entrance was located at the side of the pub. I used the code to get in. There was a tall flight of stairs with key safe at the top, then another flight of about 10 stairs then another tall flight of stairs and the another of 5 or six stairs. Not easy to drag my suitcase up all of them. No lift. The shower was blocked and there was brown water and hair floating in the bottom of the shower when I went to use it. I had to try to rinse it all down. I couldn't get it all to go down so had to use the shower anyway.
