Comfortable little room in the courtyard of the pub ,good value for £50 for the night .Ensuite ,complimentary toiletries ,tea and coffee making facilities in room . Parking in free village carpark at back of pub . Fine for solo traveller for one night .

The pillows were ancient and lumpy, and the bed rock hard. There was no heating at all in the room (it was a cold night and morning). And no mini fridge to pop milk etc in

Affordable price. A good location with shops and restaurants on the same street; some parking out back, and also a large public car park nearby. Welcoming and helpful staff. Bar downstairs and breakfast available

I have been travailing the UK for my work for near on 20 years, and this is up there with the worst places I have ever stayed. That's no exaggeration; it may even be the worst. I often read reviews when booking, but normally weigh any negitive reviews up against price and normally feel like the property is unfairly rated when it clearly a budget option, but in this case, the negative reviews are warranted For starters, the room is dated, and I mean REALLY dated. 1950s feel, but even in the 1950s they would have been better than this. It's just a myriad of furniture, pictures and lights all chucked in with no thought. And it appears to be deliberate, as the cloths are equally dated; curtains, pictures - everything. The room has wires everywhere, and questionable electrics; the floor is sloping, wallpaper peeling, loose plaster, the ceiling looks like it is ready to cave. The entire room feels dirty, even if it's not dirty, if that makes sense. No hot water, and the shower is not a power shower, so was also cold. The bed/ mattress were the worst of the experience. It was like sleeping on a bare spring frame; I was crippled in the morning; it's the worst night sleep I have ever had; up many times just because I couldn't get comfy. The pillows were more like cardboard, so actually used the blanket. The windows, unsurprising, are single glazed, and seems to be zero sound barrier, as you got the raw noise of the traffic outside, again contributing to a miserable night. It's cheap (which is why it gets a 3), but there is a limit; I can do with cheap, but still want a sleepable bed, and a warm shower; just those 2 things may have bumped this up to a bearable 4 and less of a negative review. I couldn't recommend to anyone unless there is no option

Rustic very friendly locals pub in character town with 1970s decor! Large room for single person (3 small beds!) & I could store my bicycle safely in my room!

Shower old and weak. Bed ancient and very soft. But you get what you pay for.

Brilliant staff who were really accommodating and friendly. Room was dated but quirky and comfortable.
